Who was the lad

Wasn't at the match but someone mentioned Josh Kelly was doing something at half time.

Houghton lad , Olympian Boxer and fights at the Beacon of Light in a few weeks

If it wasn't him ne idea 😂

Brilliant boxer, distanced himself from us a while ago and now wants some fans so he’s all over us.

Wouldn't say he distanced himself like, the lad moved away to give his family a better life. But you frequently hear him mention Sunderland and his support for the football club and usually dons shorts with red and white on or the old badge.

Knew the lad growing up, bit of a tit and loves himself (obviously with a name like PBK). but incredible boxing ability, Naz like ability just nowhere near the power to match.

I recall him distancing himself from the club when he was bursting on the scene as I remember being disappointed as he looked like he could be a world champion at one point. Anyways next thing I know I’m watching him fighting at an empty Newcastle eagles stadium and now it’s his dream to fight at the stadium of light and he’s stating he used to play for the academy. I can’t help but feel it’s all a ploy to get some fans on board. Fair play to him though he’s a special talent!

They do an interview most games now and you can't make out a single word where we sit! Replacing the PA system is long overdue.
I feel sorry for past players who you can hardly see, can't hear and most folk don't know has been there.

Last time I was up Pop Robson did the draw, the crisp packets drowned out any recognition of him, the tannoy was mounted at Sheepfolds
