Season ticket holder, went away to a few as well. Seem to remember fancy dress at York, people on the roof at Rotherham and a night match down at Mansfield.

My first season i was aloud to go on my own I was 11, Train from Heworth, picked up my tickets from Billy Whitehurst at the ground ( my mates dad worked at Seaburn hotel so we got freebies from the players! Train home to Gateshead used to cost me £2 a game for train and a program!

Me, loved it, remember walking from Farringdon on News Years day to Roker Park to watch us play Doncaster ( I could be wrong) think we drew 1-1.

Mine was the first with McMenemy, though I'd been to a few in the Milk Cup final season so I'm battle hardened to us being rubbish. 2 relations in my 1st 3 seasons and many since.

I'll be struggling to drag myself to 10 home games next season.

I've found better things to do with my time and money.

Remember at full time in the milk cup final my uncle said, it doesn’t get any better than this, relegated that season, he was right

Was saying the exact same yesterday, my first real memory of the “seats” top right hand corner of the main stand, Notts County at home remember being a big game that season. Last home game of the season Northampton was Bank Holiday Monday, highest crowd that season in north east, 29k.
