Who puts the information on Sat Navs

the one i use in the wagon still shows me going through a field at ferrybridge :)

My old steam driven one always told me that I lived in a field until I updated it to inform them that my new build estate had replaced the arable nature of my home location.
Mine hasn’t got the Spire Bridge on and it looks like I’m flying over the water every time I use it. Ne idea how to update it either.

I used to drive through the Forth estuary until my new sat nav recognised the Queensferry Bridge.

It was hugely thrilling.

I use an app called Delm8 for the likes of named properties and new builds. ON the very rare occasions it can't find a new build when I eventually get there I can send the address and postcode to them and they add it to the system
You'd have to update your satnav every day for it to be as accurate

I've got a Bonnie Tyler sat nav, it's useless.

Keeps telling me to "Turn around" and every now and then it falls apart.
Do you get lost in France ? Loved my old tom tom - air traffic controller would tell me to go to the end of the runway and taxi left etc. Yoda was a pain as everything was like end of the road you are. The new apps are desd boring. Need tony mowbray munching biscuits on route down the A19 saying turn right.

When I was a multi drop driver delm8 was a god send for named houses

Loads of different suppliers, my Volvo
Uses Google, others use companies such as Here.

Lots of suppliers.

Waze is the best though as an app.
I wonder who updates the roadworks etc so quickly as they are on pretty much straight away.
I know waze you can report crashes etc on the go to other users.
Mind you it's the same as the AA roadwatch service I guess.

I really hate my new John Denver sat nav.

While it may well take me home, it's always down some country roads.

Could be worrying if you are going on holiday...

....driving to the airport with an unreliable John Denver sat nav.....

....you might end up...not....

....leaving on a jet plane.
