Who on here has the longest) and shortest) home matchday?

My cousins got a flat in Sunderland. Front window looks out over B&Q (I think), across the river, and a full view of the SOL.
Lucky bitch.

Two hours each way down and back up the Borders. Fair few make this journey I reckon. It's not the distance so much as the terrain that is problematic. Winter return journeys across Northumberland with nothing but darkness between Ponteland and Jedburgh and the last two have been seriously snowy around the border.

Just been working in Galashiels i feel your pain!

New Year’s Day 2002. Was a tad rough after too much lemonade and sausage rolls the night before. Got a lift to the ground to meet my mate at about 5 to 3 (lived next to Thompson Park) climbed the steps to the back of the Premier Concourse, there was a stoppage for injury, was promptly sick all over myself so had to find a steward to let me out. Got picked up again and back in bed by about half 3 not having seen a minute of football.

I'm lucky to get back for any of the first half of the 530 kick off. That's no matter where we park or which route home.

That's staying until full time. By the time we queue to get out the stadium it's normally gone 5pm.

It's getting out of Sunderland that's the chuff on.

Leave the house at 11, meet flag putter outers at 11:30. Done in the ground by 12:30, walk down to the Avenue or Cambridge, back to stadium for 2:45. Usually have a couple after and get picked up at 6pm once traffics gone.

Driving: leave home around 10, get back about 8
Train: yer avin a laff!

I'm getting a bit long in the tooth for 6 hours driving, especially the return along the A66 and the link to M6 via Kirkby Stephen in the pitch black.
If only we had a functioning rail network north of Watford...

There must be some of you — with very understanding families I presume - who travel ridiculous distances every Saturday? Or who are in the pub for breakfast and not home til Sunday? Who has the longest day?
Mine’s one of the shortest like. Leave the house at 2.40 and back home by 5.10, so only 2.5 hours all in.
When I lived in seaburn would be up the mill view for opening not back home till after midnight all day bender every home game virtually can't remember any game from 1982 to 1990

On sat we are leaving inverkeithing at 8 and will be back at Inverkeithing around half 8 full 12 hour day for us.
I know my trip is a long one, but not done that often anymore.
Some of you lot doing that every game is f***ing immense.
Nee wonder our support is so admired when you see that kind of commitment man.

So Saturday lunchtime not a good diary slot for a lifelong tattoo then🤣🤣🤣
Well, you could have booked the full day, but I would be watching my iPad over your shoulder. 😂

I used to do a lot of safc related tattoos on exiles who had travelled up for the match tbh. Had a regular who’d travel over from Ireland with his missus. That’s dedication.

I never appreciate how good access is being in the back row of the front block, until I go and sit further up at cup games. I can walk straight out in 30 seconds,

Leave the house at 10.50, into the pub for 11, bus to Sunderland leaves at 12, bus leaves straight after the game and usually home by 6.

Not to bad at all, the early kick off are a pig though
