He's in the third tier.
Well to clarify that particular point, somebody said he had the most assists out of anyone in the top four leagues. Well that's just numbers isn't it. You've got to weight the statistic. An assist in the Championship is more valuable than an assist in League 1. And again, a Premier League assist is more valuable again.Yago Bellon

Excellent post….particularly like the Flan recognition/railway sleeperMore importantly, there is pretty much not one player in the squad who we want shot of; that in itself has got to be a first in a long time! Proves how bloody good our management team are when you think about it. 09 edges it, a legend in the making of the Kevin Ball variety. McGeady 2nd for his unflinching commitment to the club and still delivering at 35. 3rd to Tom Flan, would fight a railway sleeper for the cause.
Not sure I agree really. Players play at a certain level, and obviously de Bruyne is a better player than McGeady. However, that doesn’t mean that having the most assists in the country is something to ignore. It’s obviously evidence that, at our level, he’s delivering the goods. Which I would say means he’s not shit.Well to clarify that particular point, somebody said he had the most assists out of anyone in the top four leagues. Well that's just numbers isn't it. So in short, I suppose you could say yes, he's shite compared to top level players. Him having more assists than Kevin De Bruyne last year is a ridiculous argument to the contrary.
He was genuinely world class and played in defence, midfield, CAM and even up front during his professional career hence his skill levels on the ball were off the map for a defenderHis Franz Beckenbauer-like performances as sweeper at EURO '96, where he scored winners against Russia and Croatia, earned Sammer the European Footballer of the Year award. The first East German to represent the unified Germany, he was twice an East German league winner with Dynamo Dresden then won the Bundesliga three times; once with Stuttgart and twice at Dortmund, where he also claimed the 1997 UEFA Champions League. Coached both clubs after a knee injury forced his retirement, aged 30.
