Who doesn't think Short is the problem?

Can all the posters who think Short is a good owner but has just been let down by a series of mangers list their names here.

When Short finally fucks off and it becomes clear for all to see what a disaster he's been I think it would be helpful to have a record of who the most gullible / stupid supporters are.

Cheers.
Short is absolutely the problem, but he's stuck with us and we're stuck with him

Obsessed that the club that means a lot to me has been mismanaged and run into the ground by a billionaire owner?

I don't know how anyone who claims to be a SAFC fan isn't incredibly concerned by this. We're on the way down and there's one person responsible.

I don't think 'the' problem exists, that's far too simplistic. He is one of several we've had.

Not many by the looks of it
Most will recognise he has used SAFC as a toy , being a billionaire, thrown a bit money around & realised it's not for him
Meanwhile back in Sunderland

Indeed. A lot of people prepared to waffle on about this and that and pick up on minor points but very few thus far prepared to say they don't view him as the primary problem. Says it all.

I agree his choices are the main issue. But really "choices" are a pretty f***ing major part of being owner.

Loads of people said "I know he's made mistakes, but now he's introducing a DoF model we should judge him on that"

Then "I know he made mistakes with the DoF model, but now he has the manager he's always wanted"...

How many mistakes are justifiable? I'm happy to write off all his mistakes in my mind and give him a fresh slate if I had ANY belief he was changing and learning. I have no confidence he is whatsoever and think whatever he does next is likely to be a car crash... again.

Two threads man. Get a grip. I'm hardly spamming. Loads of posters put 3 or 4 threads up in the same day.
Short's not interested in your opinion.

If we were sitting mid table now there is no way you would be on this crusade. You are looking for a scapegoat for our struggles and you found it in Short.

I blame Moyes for where we are. He had a great platform to build from and get some quality in in the summer but no he wanted to struggle. He said that at the beginning. We ended up with 10 new players who were squad fillers, 1 a record buy. And now he's after more squad fillers.

You're like a broken f***ing record.

He had to buy 10 players on £20m net spend. And you expect him to have bought quality

Look, not 1 man is to blame, it is a continuation of bad choices by quite a few people over many years, some more than others i agree, but you can not pin it down to 1 person or choice

He did have to buy 10 players. He chose to sign that many and the majority aren't fit for purpose

He could have signed half that and went for better quality. He chose not to

No I agree, but all roads do seem to lead back to Ellis.
We get it you blame Short. That's fair enough but you don't have to ram it down people's throat.

I'm no fan of Short, but this is as bad as the threads that dig out bed wetters or happy clappers.

APR doesn't apply to corporate debt. The interest is paid at a flat rate an annual basis. Incidentally, said debt is in two parts, a £20m revolving credit facility ( a bit like an overdraft), of which the club had drawn down £15m at the end of 2014/15 year. There is also a term loan of £50m, which is subject to schedules repayments, and is due to be paid off by July 2019.

For what it's worth, Drumaville had totally run out of money. If Short hadn't stepped in, the club would have gone into administration in 2011. With hindsight, from a debt perspective, this might not have been a bad thing. From a playing perspective, it would probably have seen us relegated in 2011/12.
Interesting how 'Haway' side steps your second paragraph.

Someone who makes good decisions, oversees success, manages the club's finances well.

IDK, something like that.
Didn't he employ people to do that?
I think it all went wrong when he questioned Keane about his purchases. He probably just oversaw things from afar since then. Maybe he should have questioned a few more people who squandered his cash. Maybe he should be more hands on. I bet he's more pissed off than us lot.
