Who doesn't think Short is the problem?

What a strange post.

On what basis is it a strange post? It's a reasonable question. And you haven't answered it.

That explains it then.

The majority of your life watching us in the top flight.

I rest my case.

You'd have different views if you were older.

Yeah his time here has been pretty bad. He has backed managers, but it's always been the wrong managers. We've lurched from manager to manager, no real coherent style of football, which means every new manager doesn't want to work with the players he has. His football appointments have been 'good' in that we haven't been relegated, but it's not been a great few seasons has it?

Imagine if he had made better choices, we have had enough investment to succeed it's just it's all been wasted

I agree his choices are the main issue. But really "choices" are a pretty f***ing major part of being owner.

Loads of people said "I know he's made mistakes, but now he's introducing a DoF model we should judge him on that"

Then "I know he made mistakes with the DoF model, but now he has the manager he's always wanted"...

How many mistakes are justifiable? I'm happy to write off all his mistakes in my mind and give him a fresh slate if I had ANY belief he was changing and learning. I have no confidence he is whatsoever and think whatever he does next is likely to be a car crash... again.

If you had the decency to keep it in one thread, you wouldn't get throwaway 'abuse'.

Two threads man. Get a grip. I'm hardly spamming. Loads of posters put 3 or 4 threads up in the same day.

The most obvious sign of a banned poster I have ever seen.

Don't worry won't belong till this one goes too as you can't help yourself.

So now you're resulting to unfounded accusations. Your distracting tactics won't do. Answer the question. Otherwise, what is presented without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

How's he been better than Drummaville?

Drummaville racked up £45m debt in the process of seeing us promoted and maintaining our league position. Ellis has racked up an extra £110m and we've stayed in the same place (and actually, got slightly worse).

I don't see why you would think Drummaville were worse. Murray I agree was better, although hardly fantastic, but the SoL and AoL are his legacy and no-one can dispute that. Cowie is before my time so I can't pass comment fairly.
So youve admitted you havent seen enough to form a true opinion.....you caught the arse end of murray and think the stadium is his legacy.
Murray stumped up from his own pocket to keep the club alive! You dont seem to know that.
You are part of the "round robin" with cisses underpants....radjee gadjee and co who are running a campaign. A campaign i was invited into via group pms.........

You dont have the experiance and perhaps the knowledge to realise what short has brought to the table.
You prefer to point and scream like a woman scorned or dare i say it like a spoilt child.

Ive been thankful to spend the last ten years in the prem.....lording it over the scum at the same time.

We cant all be top 4........your clique dont seem to realise it and have a sense of entitlement like a mag.

Theres an array of problems.....the owner is but a small part of them. Not enough for the constant short out shit from you and the gang.......its failing, its boring and its turning posters off.
BUT.......youll grow out of it.....that ill guarentee.

Doubt it. Know loads of fans who are older who are unhappy with the state of the club and the two fellas next to me are both in their mid forties and want Short out. I don't think the anti-Short supporters are particularly young.

You are clearly a banned poster with an agenda, I can't be arsed with those type of conversations anymore, lives too short.

Obsessed that the club that means a lot to me has been mismanaged and run into the ground by a billionaire owner?

I don't know how anyone who claims to be a SAFC fan isn't incredibly concerned by this. We're on the way down and there's one person responsible.

Concerned yes, but until he actually leaves we don't know if he has ran it into the ground. He may well write off his £90m loan yet.
If he does the debts are perfectly manageable which is exactly why he put the loan to him in first place so club wasn't burdened to the banks with it.

And the whole point of pulling plug is that we are practically the only club now making a loss. He put £20m a season in to keep us up. And now it's over. You can't bleat a out that. It's £20m a year. Fuck that if I would piss £20m away.

There are plenty of owners who would have stopped the £20m 5 year ago, at which point we would have immediately gone down.

So the shit that we face now is a result of him putting £20m in but if he didn't we would have gone down, which is where we are heading so it is no loss and 5 year of premier league bonus plus cup final plus 6 in a row.

So ultimately it all hinges on what he does with his specific £90m debt when he leaves. And we don't know yet so if he writes it off it all good for me. If we are left with it, it's a disaster.

I'll decide when he's gone and we know where we are.

No but I knew you would be.

The fact you think he hasn't done better than Drumaville is worrying

10 years in the top flight for Sunderland is success.

We've spent shit loads.

I don't want us top four you utter plank. I want us to be mid to lower mid table and not accumulated crippling amounts of debt. I was totally happy under Bruce (bar the end). I am not a delusional fan who expects trophies and the like. I just see Uncle Ellis for what he is.

The majority of our debt is now with a third party at 9% APR.

No but I knew you would be.

We've spent shit loads.

You think Drummaville did worse? Why?

If that's the best you can do

Its not a competition. I can tell which poster you are so I'll just block you and lets leave it there. Tra.

You think Drummaville did worse? Why?

They had absolutely run out of money and has SNQ said the club was heading to the shit fast if he didn't meet Short.

He funded our 2nd year signings under Keane at great expense and has invested ever since, and we have stayed up ever since

If that's not better I don't know what is.

And more to the point of this thread. Can the pro-Ellis fetishists please stop just arguing on moot points and actually be honest about what they think of him? Say you think he's been a good owner. I think he's been shite and nothing but trouble. The truth will out in time, be open about what you think now. If you're so confident he's been a benevolent owner who has done good for us then say it.

Drummaville took us up about 28 league places in their time here and accrued £45m debt. Short has taken us back 3 places and accrued £110m debt.

Jesus wept

in 1 year

We've have been bankrupt if Short didn't come in

Quinn himself has said that

You know better than him though obviously

Stick to footy manager and fifa

What a pathetic poster you are. You call others 'morons' for having a different opinion to you, and then can't even back up your opinions with reasonable arguments. All the while you suggest you are being the mature one. Pathetic.

You never mentioned the other points.....especially the round robin agenda.

And look where we are now :lol::lol:

Still in the top flight, after 10 years

It hasn't been a waste of time like, not in the slightest

So you would rather have been bankrupt in the championship or below?

Its a basic concept

As I say, you have never known anything but premier league football

Eevrybody goes down

Only the top sides have been in the league longer than us

The mags have been relegated twice in 7 years

Boro were in the championship for 6 years for fuck sake

I have no idea what you're talking about about "round robin" PM groups.

Well 3 seasons watching the lads home and away in the championship and two watching us in the prem go down with a record low point total. But no, no idea.
