Who doesn't think Short is the problem?

I guess the answer to that is that it hasn't 'not' worked out - yet. he wouldn't get that money back if he sold us as a championship club.

No one knows if he's selling.

No one knows what he's asking.

No one knows if there's a single buyer.

Let's have another thread

He needs to sell...but a new owner won't necessarily be better. Whatever happens....it will be a long dark road ahead.

But, if the new owner is a total disaster, how quickly will the 'Short out' brigade compile a 'list' of the gullible & stupid?

You've previously said it could turn out to be a disaster or words to that effect.

"On the balance of probabilities I think a new owner would be good for us."

What balance of probabilities ..... sounds more like fingers crossed tbh.
I think Short is one of the poorer owners about. If you think the next owner is likely to be worse than Short, fair enough. I think Short is sufficiently bad that that's unlikely. I'm not disputing it's possible.

Short out brigade = majority of our fans.

Longest run in the top flight for over 50 years and during that time we were the most y0-yo team.

He must be doing something right.

He's been very lucky in sacking managers at the right time, and getting a short-term bounce.

But why has he had to sack so many managers? Because of his piss poor decisions and we've been rarely out of the bottom 3 for the last 10 seasons under his chairmanship.

Indeed, Sir.

SAFC is as far from a desirable PL proposition as you could imagine ...... shite location, poor area regarding PL players and their families, past history, etc.

The next owner will be worse imo.

There's absolutely no one, with any connection to Sunderland, with the clout to move us forward.

The Arabs wouldn't want to spend a second of their time in a town on the NE coast.

No idea who would have any interest in buying the club but it certainly won't be a Russian, like Chelsea, 100% guaranteed.

So 'on the balance of probabilities' it will be a bunch of chancers.

It's this daft notion that, if they get everyone to despise Ellis Short, that's job done. I couldn't give a fuck about the guy...don't know him, don't want to. But, I can predict that the next owner will be a disappointment, too. And the next.

So I will do all I can...vote with my feet.

Bookmarked ;)

He has panicked, he should have stuck with Bruce.

He certainly wouldn't, you're right. So there really needs to be one last throw of the dice, surely.
I'd love there to be. Problem is we've been putting this correction off for a while. If we don't do it this year we'd have to do it next - and the debts would be bigger and the wage bill higher. With so much money Sitting dormant on the injury list it's very difficult to manoeuvre. It's an absolute fucker whichever way it's looked at

Without Shorts money we would have been relegated years ago.
He's been let down by successive managers trading so poorly.
What is it, profit made on only 3 players in the past 10 years? We've been spending well over our income for too long, it will have to stop at some stage.
There are still plenty of games left and it will be tough; but we've seen that anything can happen.

I worked for a Russian and we were neighbours to Abramovich who was a visitor along with Putin.

I worked for an American banker, retired at 32, who knows Short personally.

I now work for the cousin of the Man City owner.

I can say, hand on heart, that none of them would touch SAFC with a bargepole that would reach from London to Barnes.

Short's money? You mean debt.

Doesn't surprise me at all. Why would they?

That Bain was pissed off with the entire way the club had been run, from previous managers to commerce, hence the change in approach to Moyes and the 'resignation' of the Hair.
What has Bain done? Apart from say fundamental a lot and talk about our indentity

The jury is out in him aswell
