The list of candidates is worse than that, its pretty horrendous to be honest, I wouldn't be particularly happy with any. Really not happy about the sacking tbh, we've just given all the power to the players and they have done fuck all to deserve it. If we appoint a shite manager, do crap and get relegated these players won't be taking pay cuts and fighting to get us back, they'll fuck off to the highest bidder. Really disillusioned with the game in general at the minute to be honest.

100%. I`m just totally confused, we were given the impression that we were going for this supposed 'change of approach' , ie phase out the apparent wasters and bring in hungry young professionals. It was obviously going to take time, did anyone really expect us to have done much better than what we have at present ? A win at fulham, and maybe a point at palace possibly.

Either way, its all just a bit bizarre that the club have crumbled so easily at the first sign of a bit pressure, in a footballing sense. Just makes us look embarrassing imo

Bielsa, Stramaccioni or Meulensteen for me. McLaren would probably be good if he didn't have so much baggage. It would probably be an appointment doomed from the start. The only thing that could save it would be if the entire fanbase had already accepted relegation as a given. Anything better would be considered a bonus.

I seriously don't give a fuck!! We've had MON, the man we wanted for years, that didn't work. PDC come in and was viewed as a breath of fresh air and the bloke to sort these pampered players out, he's been sacked. I cant be arsed with all the hoo-ha that goes with building these people up. All I want is for SAFC to win some games.

would be quite keen for Gary Neville or Rene Meulensteen ( if he has left Anzhi) but i think short term the best option regrettably would be Tony Pulis, i think we need his bloody mindedness to sort the mess out and to try and make us difficult to beat

It has to be a young, modern manager. It has to be a long term appointment, not a dinosaur like Pulis and MON, and not another headcase like Poyet, Di canio and Keane.

Out of the list, only Di Matteo really follows that line.

I feel certain it's going to be Di Matteo, so I feel obliged to say him.
He's from Schaffhausen and spent time in Zurich and Aarau, so he could speak Switz to Cabral to convince him that he's not totally unwanted.

LOL :)

Yes - certainly I hope it's RDM over someone like Pullis, McLeish or Mclaren.

I'd rather than that bloke with the clipboard back (Cotterill wasn't it?) than them. The fan that shouted out 'how many ways can you spell 'shit' Steve?' is still my favourite fan heckler...

Kevin Ball, put him in till the shit die's down and see how he does and if he does OK give him it for a few month or till summer (ala crosby but he got 2 year) rather than rush in for another manager.

flippin joke letting PDC sign 14 players, get rid of sess (if he did) and then sack him.

wise men sayyyyy ONLY FOOLS RUSH IN amd sign another manager

I would like to see the club go for Fabio Capello but then you'd have problems such as whether he'd want to come here, whether it'd affect him managing Russia and how much he'd cost. At domestic level he's very successful and has had a good relationship with players in the past.

At this moment i'd probably go for McClaren, just think he might be the safest bet if I'm honest.
His career ain't been too bad imo, he'd do for me.
