Whisky

Not at all. I enjoy a Whyte & Mackay with ginger ale. Equally as priced.

I'm moving away from beer because of whisky. Cheaper and less cheap stuff

I have been thinking about that and whether it's better for me but a bottle of whisky over two days sounds worse. Probably would of had 16 bottles so don't know.

Going see how long I can go without after tonight though.

Don't think either is great for you

But I've found I probably drink a bit slower and have a couple units fewer.

Went on the beers earlier as I had some left in fridge and felt bloated off 3. Usually 7 or 8 before that happens. Been sipping whisky and whisky cocktails most of the evening since

As long as you enjoy it everything else is gravy. Blends outsell single malts globally. I won’t accept that Haig Club is any good, however.

I'm not a great lover of blended whiskies, but got offered a dram of haig club over xmas & it's actually alright

Tastes thin and artificial to me. It’s designed to be mixed with something else so I guess it shouldn’t really be judged as a stand alone drink.

putting aside the god awful Beckham advertising campaign etc, it’s just very poor.

Thin certainly the word I’d use.

btw have you ever bought from fine Drams before ?
There are a few things I’m tempted with and low postage. While I’ve used several Dutch sites I’ve never bought from here before.

I have mate, they're spot on. I ordered 6 litre bottles of Buffalo Trace from them (45%) and they arrived in days, excellently packed and all for 6 euro delivery cost.

Funnily enough I was just looking on there myself, they have some good offers at the min, and postage has gone down to 4.80

I've been trying to get my hands on a bottle of Hazelburn 10 for a while (and didn't want to stump up a whopping £58 at Loch Fyne!).

For anyone interested Fenwicks are now selling whisky online, and have it in stock at £45 per bottle (or £40 if you have a friend with student discount).

looking at their site it's like many...the odd bargain and some stuff massively overpriced

Ardbeg Uggi £71 or their 10 at £51...Laga 16 £71

Whisky Hamster is always a decent site if you’re looking for a specific dram. It’s basically a price comparison site of the major UK specialist online retailers. Wouldn’t have saved you any money on this occasion (£44.95) but it’s useful for finding who has the bottle in stock.
