Whisky

@black-cat the Cadenhead Bruichladdich is also worth a purchase if there’s any left. Much better than I expected.
I called in on Friday but as was working, couldn't stay long. There were queues for the bottles as you'd expect so unfortunately I missed out on all of them. Did manage to get a 12 CS the other week though so happy with that. And you never know, there could be some left in the shop this week?

There were some 12CS in the shop on the Monday but they’d sold out by the time I went in on Tuesday morning.

This looks a decent price for Ledaig 10.

Is pretty good. Ordered a bottle last week for around the same price from Amazon with S&S. Free delivery with Prime.
I do notice the whisky shop are offering a similar thing to MoM Prime membership( free next day delivery for a year at £15)

Next Cadenhead out turn:

Glen Garioch 11yo Bourbon 54.1% - £55
Glen Grant 14yo PX Finish 59.9% - £75
Knockdhu 10yo PX Finish 54.3% - £60
Linkwood 10yo Bourbon 55.4% - £55
Ord 13yo Armagnac Finish 56.4% - £70
Springbank 26yo Bourbon 56.7% - £600
Tomatin 12yo Calvados Finish 55.5% - £65
Union 5yo Oloroso 56.9% - £45
.
Other than the obvious I’m tempted by the Union on the basis the last one they released was so good

We were in Edinburgh shop a few weeks back and staff were a bit arsey…not put me off their stuff but customer relations left a bit to be desired.

Can’t say I’ve frequented it much, I almost exclusively deal with the Campbeltown shop. They have a nice bar and a really cool blending lab in there now where you can blend your own whisky.

On a different note, I’ve eagerly anticipating this tasting tomorrow night. I’ve surprised myself that I haven’t drank the samples yet as I’ve had them in my possession for 3 weeks.

Look fantastic

Fella in Edinburgh shop ( big gymnast type with big beard) was sneery as fu*** when I had the temerity it seems to ask if they had any CS 12 or the KK CS.
Rolled his eyes and said their stock goes in a week…a simple no sorry would have done. Same response when asked about a few Cadenheads bottles ( not exactly unicorn stuff mind)

I seen this mentioned in another thread - - Anyone a member and is it worth it?
The price isn’t bad, though I’d suggest the samples supplied are likely to be young and/or low abv. There are several online stores that sell whisky samples if you wanted to go that route, the key benefit being you can pick the whisky yourself.
