Me and a friend were having this debate the other day, and we both decided on the Spurs game. Now, ignore significance, but based on pure quality and entertainment value, which do you think is the winner between these?

The epic 3-2 victory over Burnley in the CCC was a fantastic match full of cracking goals, controversy, 3 penalties and a couple of returning players! Added to this, it was a full-house (or near enough, I think) and the atmosphere was jumping when Edwards' thunderbolt hit the back of the net!

However, the 3-1 against Spurs last season, for me, was the probably the most entertaining Sunderland game I have attended. Great atmosphere, 3 goals, Benty's return against Spurs, his goading of the Spurs fans when he scored his first :)lol:), 2 penalty misses, a potential Spurs fight-back, and Zenden's wonder strike!

So, thoughts?

Spurs. One of the best atmospheres I've experienced at the SOL (last season there were two where I can remember the atmosphere being really good - Spurs, and second half v West Ham), and Zenden's wonder strike.

Last season's Spurs and the 4-2 vs Sheff Utd... I was young, I think it was the 97/98 season... battle it out for the best matches I've ever been to.

I don't get to too many games but was at that one. One of the best memories was Spurs had brought a good crowd, they were well up for it, were singing loudly, .... then silenced! Excellent.

I was over this side of the pond for Spurs last season, but I leapt out of my chair and knocked over my pint when Bolo knocked that one in. There was some bemused looking Canucks wondering why I was jumping around like a loon. Great game.

I was at Burnley and it helped it was on a Friday night. I was 5 pints in by kick off and the Town and then Washy later were jumping that night. Unreal that night. Right behind the trajectory of Carlos' bullet. Great days. Thought we'd blown it when they'd went 2-1 up.

Burnley was one of my favourite games I've been to. Topped off by my favourite SoL goal.

Spurs was pretty exciting, but in the end meant a lot less.

Burnley but only just whereas Spurs is a very close second for me

Spurs for me as I was there. The Burnley game, I was getting text updates after a badly planned staff night out
