It's not grease it's clarified butter and it's meant to be like that.
Either spoon it off or hold it in the container.

No you are wrong - i know a bloke who owns an indian takeaway and he has given me lessons in how to cook curries - ghee is used in biryianis not your typical curries where relatively large quantities of veg oil are used.

Nar, think she got sick of blokes letching on her......
Knew lads who would ring up for collection and spend ten minutes asking if she'd like to come round and watch a video.

There's a canny few nice looking Asian lasses knocking round shields, unfortunately most of them are Bangladeshi and Muslim-so you got nay chance

Veg oil and vegetable ghee (which is just hardened veg oil).

On a good curry its all supposed to be ladled off innit ?
That's what I read anyway.

Correct. The oil or ghee is necessary to bring out the spices. You can always spoon/pour it off, but you'll lose a lot of flavour.

All the flavour should be there though by the time its served, its minging and should be removed imo.

are you sure? i've got some ghee in the fridge and its got a f***ing cow on the front of it like!!

I have a tin of it as well, also with a cow on.
Cow Ghee, ignore Pweller.

Tramps use Veg Ghee, proper Indian food uses Cow Ghee.

It's on sale in all the Asian shops, my mate owned Bengal Spice in Pallion up until last year and I spent a fair bit of time in his kitchen learning about curries as well.
