On the train from Newcastle down to York on Saturday we had a Villa fan sitting next to us who was going to Sheff Wed, then three Leeds fans got on at Darlington going to Birmingham. Had a good bit chat with all of them and they were spot on. Proper football fans who actually go to games tend be decent no matter who they support.

Did in London for Wembley weekend. Talked to some Bradford fans at Kings Cross who were on their way to watch Charlton. One was teasing me and asked for their goal back

Spoke to some Spurs supporters who been watching a friendly and wished us well for the following day. The saw some more Bradford fans and commiserated with them as they'd lost. All decent people.

That Swindon lad that gets on here... huge respect for him.

Bless you Mate and from you lot that is really appreciated.
Going to go this season without missing a game. Always difficult with work and tomorrow for instance coming home for a Skype meeting that off we go.
Your fans actually are an inspiration and the Netflix episodes particularly the mid week away games and local accents saying shite man ..... then on the coaches just respect.
I know it takes commitment.

Spot on mate. I know a bloke who was born and raised in Northampton, but who’s lived in London since he was 15,.... he’s 58 now.... and goes home and away to follow the Cobblers year in and year out. Talking to him about football is really rewarding! Much rather be in his company than some other glory hunters I can think of.

Ask him if he knows Phil Steele.... Woodford Halse.
Goes to every Cobblers game and arranges a Supporters coach.

I've always thought lads who've stuck by teams like Bury..Rochdale..Stockport..etc..being in the North West must have been tempted when younger to jump ship to Man Utd or Liverpool.
The Mansfield fan I know said his dad wouldnt even let him watch Forrest or Derby on the telly. he was dragged to Mansfield games
Now he follows them home and away
