Which clubs if they had the same last decade as us

Mags didn't get 50000 in championship with winning side. Let along league one. As for arsenal they turned away from winger when 6th was a disaster, can you see then sticking by in 2nd let alone 3rd tier. Its all academic as its theoretical, for now.
Mags averaged over 51,000 in Championship 2016-2017

sunderland have a massive catchment area unlike a lot of clubs durham 18 miles away quite a big place and into north yorkshire.as for stoke 95% of stoke fans are from stoke and a 2 club city ,18 miles to the north you are closer to manchester to the south wolves to the east derby .

Do the vast majority of people in Stoke and it’s environs follow Stoke or do you suffer from a lot of glory supporters travelling to the North West for example?

Spurs are not fickle at all . Only been out the top 10 best supported clubs in the country 9 times in their entire history.
Have you got the same book as me ? Brian Tabner's - ' Through The Turnstiles .... Again '. If you haven't .. Well worth buying.

I live south of Stoke in south Staffordshire in a place called Rugeley. From my experience Stoke have very strong support in Stoke on Trent but very little elsewhere. As the Stoke fan mentioned you go 15 miles south and you hit Wolves and Villa and go 15 miles north and it’s Manchester clubs . Pretty small catchment in a weird kind of place that’s borderline midlands/north .

Stopped off in Rugeley in '83. Four of us hired a narrow boat and from Great Haywood did 4 counties ring.
As you said before, football is very popular at the moment. Every club in Premier is more or less at full capacity. West Ham who draw over 60,000 fans each week have 50,000 season ticket holders : those are not 'football tourists '.
What amazed me when we languished in the third tier was the sheer number of away fans that visited - Plymouth brought up 1400 and Luton 3,200. The demographic has changed - one couple had two toddlers with them. Quite often a group of older fans will make a weekend of it. Many of the arguments regarding attendance figures are now invalidated by the overall boom in the game. Just about every club is well supported.

Basically loads of clubs, however we'll never truly know as many will never experience the depths of what we've gone through. In terms of consistency and loyalty

Your kidding, Mags had 55,000 screaming geordies locked out and a 3,000 year season ticket waiting list.

Nice enough place to live. Stands on its own with some nice villages surrounding it. Few North East folk down here that came to work at the pit . I’d imagine Sunderland was an away game that plenty looked forward to being such a big club with a big stadium. The whole entire makeup of football has changed and bit necessarily better.
