Which clubs if they had the same last decade as us

All teams can say that. Our implosion became others byword for doing a Leeds. Champions League semi-finals to L1 for the first time with a 15 point deduction in 6 seasons. Losing to Histon, a Cambridgeshire village in 1st Round of cup. Owners like Ridsdale, Bates, the only Arab bank with no money, a nutcase in Cellinio who was banned from running the club for a season. Ups and downs eh 😁

All teams cannot say that.

Stupid response.

Of course no club seeks to "actively have smaller stadiums."

Its a lone example, but Bournemouth have openly said that increasing the size of the stadium is low priority for them. The cost of expanding a ground during the good times can bite you on the backside if a season later you have a bad one and are relegated (which at a club like Bournemouth is a possibility). Plus, a smaller but full ground allows you to charge more , as demand outweighs supply.

Try filling the stadium you have (ideally for 90+ minutes) and then you might have a point.
 Ffs. Read it and the reply it was made to taking into account the poster it was replied too again. “Keep up at the back“ while youre going about it.

Leeds would be close. People need to accept that their support is huge nowadays. 36k in the league cup 2nd round earlier this season on the night we were getting 10k against Crewe with lower prices. That’s bigging them up, not slagging us off.

Villa have historically had a fickle support but if they charged what we do I don’t think they’d be far off either.
If Villa at the moment had 60,000 seats they would have no problem selling out.

If we had their current status, optimism, level of player and elite status manager in the top flight so could we.
Our support is incredible in relation to what we’ve endured for a long, long time now.
If supporters had easier access to tickets, ALL the Premier Concourse was open at once, and certain games were sold with price reductions ( a balancing act bearing in mind season ticket holders might justifiably be annoyed ) then we could be selling out already.

That’s not true at all. We have 30k season tickets and a large waiting list but 60k is pushing it. I think there’s about 25k on waiting list but I reckon only half of that would take up a season ticket. We all know most waiting lists are not what they seem, plenty wouldn’t buy if offered. No doubt do 60k the odd game but our fanbase hasn’t been flooded with glory hunters like your Man City and Chelsea’s have due to their recent success. General tickets are pretty expensive at Villa so although we do sell out most games, games don’t sell out as quick as they were the other season.

Not sure what’s happened at villa. For the most part we’ve always been a well supported club but it seems we are one of the last bigger fanbases out there to catch the football bug where we sell out most games now. You can say it’s because we came back up to the prem but we were only out of it for 3 seasons so it’s not like our fanbase had missed it that much. Our support was old school 40k one game then lose a few thousand the next game, that’s how it used to be for most clubs years ago, but something has changed. Football is very fashionable now plus we have some optimism again.

I mentioned it on a previous post but there are different factors that influence crowds over certain periods, that also need to be taken in to account when judging clubs too.

10-15 years ago even when we were doing well under Moyes we wouldn't have sold out Goodison for a League Cup game against Burnley. Yet we've been threatened with relegation for the past 3 seasons, have lost 4 out of our opening 5 home games and have comfortably sold out tonight. Tickets are £25 I think, but I know Villa overcharged in their game vs us and they had an extremely poor attendance of 23K (even with 4,500 Everton fans there), despite having an excellent home record and doing very well at the moment.

The new stadium must be playing a part in people keeping their attendance up and an added incentive may be that the game counts as an away credit but other than that it's surprising as I think even under Moyes our crowd for tonight would have been something between about 28-34K.

If you look at West Ham's away support for example, it's far higher now consistently than it was 10+ years ago because they have so many more season ticket holders at the new ground and many won't want to lose out on tickets so the demand is higher.

£30-£70 tickets were for that game . Your support is very loyal and another thing is demand creates demand. Villa and Everton both have big demand so people jump on the bandwagon and people don’t want to give season tickets up because there’s thousands to take their place.

Would compete for attendances
Very few-
Manure
Liverpool
Saudis
West Ham
Arsenal

We are a massive club.
Having a laugh with West Ham like

Spurs
Everton
Villa

Villa had low to mid 30k last time in Championship. Spurs fans are fickle as hell.

Spurs have sold their ground out for 20+ years in the league and still get decent crowds for low key cup games. And that’s at daft prices.
And averaged more than us as a Second Division side when we nearly won the league with Shack, Broadis and Davis. OK ... I am being selective with my facts ..

West Ham’s crowds drop every time relegated hoy then on your fickle list

Not sure how you say Spurs fans are
Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern.

These are big clubs. They win things.
They are huge clubs not big clubs 😂

You could argue that the healthy crowds we are pulling in now are partly BECAUSE of the decade of dross, and that would likely be the case for other clubs too.

Of course there are only around a dozen other clubs who have a stadium that holds 50k plus so I’ll say, all of them and no more, to answer the OP.
