Where were your best holidays?

Kenya for honeymoon, week of safari and a week of doing nowt.

Mexico when the swine flu virus hit was great. All the Americans pissed off home early so the hotel was quiet. Then got an extra week holiday when I got back to be in 'quarantine'

As a kid, Watergate bay near Newquay, camping in farmers fields all over the North East most Weekends and a road trip round France Belgium and Germany

With my kids, Lake Garda in italy

Since the Kids a road trip to Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Germany

Hopefully not a bragging contest, but where did you have the best times?

Mine were Scarborough, Rome and La Pineda.
Italy 2018 - spent first week travelling (Pisa, Florence, Venice, Padova) the second week in a villa in the mountains above Lucca. Absolute bliss and my favourite country.
2nd place is St.Lucia - First holiday with my missus (no) and based almost entirely on @Epping 's recommendation

Favourable mentions to Toronto, New York and Kalkan

Salou, Sorrento and Dubai for different reasons.
In fact I’ve enjoyed everywhere I’ve ever been apart from Magaluf when I was younger.

Loved the 2nd week for the relaxing element of it (We were f***ing knackered after the travelling in teh first week) but I absolutely loved Venice. Totally fell in love with the place.......even the £8 pint of Moretti!!

Borovets - Bulgaria, Soll - Austria, Sauze d'Oulx - Italy. All snowboarding, f***ing loved it. Miss going to do it nowadays but once my friends started getting married and having kids it all stopped

Butlins at Skegness as a kid, also love Highmoor farm in Harrogate in the tourer with my nana and granda. As an adult I loved Prague with our lass and another couple and Disneyland Paris with my lass and daughter.

Been to some great places, traveled round Florida, absolutely love to Gulf Coast, been to LA and Vegas, loved Thailand and Koh Samui, but I've got a mate with an apartment just outside Los Alcázares in Spain, it's on a golf course and we go every year for a week to 10 days, sometimes just me and Marjorie, but quite often with the couple that own it. They don't rent it out so it's a proper home, when I am there that is when I am most relaxed and happy, don't go out some evenings, just make some food and eat and drink on the balcony....

Whitby for a week as a kid.
Norfolk Broads on a boat with my mates.
Greek Islands,particularly Lindos and Skiathos.
Dalyan in Turkey.
Australia loved Sydney and Noosa.

On an island off Lombok now. Beautiful but suffers from the same problem as almost anywhere else in this part of the world - plastic dumped everywhere and massive speakers playing club music drowning out the sound of waves.

Shipyard fortnight I went with my mam and dad every year from the mid 70s to 1980 to shanklin. Train from Sunderland to Newcastle, train to kings cross, then a switch for a train to the coast for the ferry, train from cowes to shanklin

loved it down there

Did the same in the 50's with my parents.
Stayed in Ryde and got around the island by (steam!) train.
For a kid coming from a small mining village just the journey there was a great adventure, and the first time I'd seen clean beaches!
Not sure but I thought we got a direct train to Kings Cross from Sunderland, would that have been possible then? anybody?

Great memories too of the time we shared a villa in Majorca with my brother and his wife. New compound, everything spot on.
Visited it years later when on a cycling holiday, the area had been over commercialised, it was awful, sad to see.

Had a great, off season week in a cottage in Cornwall with family and friends.
