Newton heath and Woolwich arsenal?
I think I should of started a thread for it.No wonder nobody plays ya game you are very abrupt!!!!!![]()
Yes we could sell out Roker Park that's a daft thing to say. You've also got to think large parts of the ground were standing only. Many women and kids wouldn't fancy standing all game.
It's a good question like. Got me thinking with the good reason bit originally stated which took me down the newton heath path. Mk dons have crossed me mind but there 1st ground was a shedI think I should of started a thread for it.
For those who have missed it. Four clubs who have never averaged under 10,000 in a season.
One correct answer so far, Spurs.
Villa, Mags, Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal aren't correct.
Shiney and Penshaw has always been mixed not sure why there was a lot of people who I grew up with never showed an interest in football became magsNo pride these people. I'm tempted to say the community lacks leaders to keep these things in check.
Seriously, where I come from, which is 15 miles from Sunderland, not next door; people don't turn up one day like 'black and white hard core'.
The reason being that this is a staunch SAFC area, passed down through the generations, and anyone turning up like that wouldn't get the time of day 'round here.
I've read on here that people have Mag mates in areas close to Sunderland, and they don't have a problem with them because they're mates.
There's your problem.
Loyalties in the wrong place.
Then why the fuck are these people still your mates?!

Not MK, they're all established clubs 2 have won titles, all the FA cup. It's a good question like. Got me thinking with the good reason bit originally stated which took me down the newton heath path. Mk dons have crossed me mind but there 1st ground was a shed

I'd have gone for Tottenham because they were late comers to the scene so didn't go through that early period when football attendances were in their infancy.
Leeds could be another one because I think the initial version went bankrupt and they were reformed in he 1920s when football crowds were generally much higher than the 1880s so missed that growing period.
Chelsea? I know they had some very low crowds in the '80s but had some huge crowds many years ago.
Everton?
Possibly Newcastle considering they were formed a few later than the earlier clubs so by 1892 crowds were generally on the up.
Spurs, Chelsea and Leeds correct. As you say they came into the league after Victoria died. All the major clubs played in the 19th century when crowds hardly topped 10k. One more to get.I'd have gone for Tottenham because they were late comers to the scene so didn't go through that early period when football attendances were in their infancy.

Yes, entered the league late like the others.West Ham ?
I have never understood it mate it was always Sunderland for me but the likes of Hetton and Houghton are similarStrange that mate considering they're next door to Sunderland.
Everton must be a good shout they where much better supported than Liverpool once overYes, entered the league late like the others.
Which club has only had 1 season with under 10k.
(In need to check the answer give me 5 mins)
2 clubs
Yes Everton, their first season was under 10kEverton must be a good shout they where much better supported than Liverpool once over
It's a strong 90/10 split in hetton mind Houghton is a world in itselfI have never understood it mate it was always Sunderland for me but the likes of Hetton and Houghton are similar
The other one has never averaged over 30kYes Everton, their first season was under 10k
Inmy years of going to Roker Park, say 1979 - taken when 3 til the end - I can't remember the place being sold out that many times Considering it's nigh on a 20 year stretch that tells a story.

The story goes we just happened to be shite and didn't sell out a lot. Not sure what the point of it is. But I started going in 91 and I can remember 2 sell outs v man utd 2v Newcastle. Didn't go to the cup games in 92 55at a guess I'd say the quarter final would of been. Derby promotion season was. Boro home in premier league won't of been far off. Everton last ever game.I reckon there was probably 50odd sell outs in his 20 stretch. f***ing hell I've just picked 5 without thinking. Spurs fa cup where we all to a man racially abused SOL campbellYeah what story's that?
In Houghton their main sport is Lacrosse.
