Genuine question. Were they people just not that interested in football before Sky and Keegan sexed it up for them, or were there loads of traitors from around the North East that defected?
 
What you should be asking is how is it our gates have held up so well, bearing in mind that since moving grounds, we've had two 7th place finishes in the top flight and a cup final appearance to cheer about.
No European nights and no challenging for the Premier league title.
Pretty amazing really.
This is fair comment. Despite the influx of supporters post new ground, we have maintained them despite being utter toilet for the most part.

Begs the question what was so bad they were doing before that they are in no rush to get back to.
 
They are all pro modern football obviously... As the old genuine footy of the 60´s 70´s and 80´s had shit crowds apparently?
 
For some reason our attendances for midweek cup games are a lot lower than the mags.Man City cannot sellout for Champions League games.
