where has my country gone?

I never believed that, in this day and age, there was so much racial intolerance.

P.S. For my money, all you Romans, Normans, Angles and Saxons should f*ck off back to Europe and leave Britain for the Britons, and Celts.

I also find the intolerance incredible. I suspect the whole of the political agenda has taken a fair lurch rightwards in Britain generally and the new bogirman/scapegoat are the (insert racial/religious) immigrants.
Some people on here sound like my parents.
I thought society had moved on. Evidently not.

Immigants! I knew it was them! Even when it was the bears, I knew itwas them.

That sums things up to a degree...

Cameron is right when he says the problem has been a welfare system that encourages British people not to work has meant immigrants coming in to fill the jobs.

It's perfectly reasonable to say it's gone too far.

The people make a country what it is. If you suddenly have an influx of people from Somalia, the country becomes a little bit more like Somalia. If those people concentrate in particular areas, then those areas become a lot more like Somalia, or Bangladesh or whatever.

And most British people don't want to live in Somalia or Bangladesh.

f***ing typical hippy bollocks.

is the correct answer, he wouldn't be too keen if there was thousands living in his back garden eating all his food, wonder what he'd have to say when he was then starving......

Maybe so but I think its unfair to label someone racist when all you know about them is what they have posted on a message board. They may just not agree with immigration, it doesnt mean they hate a particular race.

I think the ones on here who are labelled racist have shown themselves time and again to be bigots.

i was asked abouit this immigration. i grew up with afro caribbean and indian continent kids, friends and as british a s me, we played cricket and football together ive fought shoulder to shoulder with black mates against skinheads , i was a member of the anti apartheid association

im no racist

but what the fuck, 2.5 million new immigrants in 12 years, and of course they will marry a nd have kids with their own

Why did you feel the need to make that statement?
Just curious:confused:

i doubt anyone on here who has been called racist has actually said anything racist. you lot just throw the term around like confetti

I hate the Daily Mail too, but they're just reporting on what Cameron has said here, the other papers will be doing it too.

He's right like. I'm not racist either, I was nearly sacked for physically throwing a customer out of a cafe I worked in for being racist towards one of our members of staff. I shouldn't need to mention that but it appears you do these days if you're going to make a comment on immigration, or you're automatically racist.

Nobody thinks that New Zealand/Australia have 'racist' immigration policies. Why can't we follow suit?

Sensible post.
