I would say the vast majority came in the last fifteen years,I used to drink in the Hendon gardens in the 70's and 80's and never saw any then.I'm sure someone on here will be more precise.

Possibly, aye. There was a bit of movement of Muslim families from London etc. to the north in the 90s too - vaguely remember that there were incentivised for doing so in some cases, knew a Muslim lad at school who telt me that.

Aye, but that's happening all over the place due to the recession. Pub closures has little to do with immigration.

. I can understand why you'd want to know the country from which someone is posting, but I think it's fine too that people would want to keep that to themselves.

Not everyone posts all the time from the country they live in. I would imagine a fair few on this have posted while on holiday or travelling for work. Where people live or post from is totally irrelevant to their opinion.

I thought the cockneys would have had a hand in it!!!never liked them .

so if i start pontificating about the state of the uk in 2011 despite having lived in brazil for the last 10 years , then my opinion has more credence than someone who lives there?

i dont think so

the web is like the bible , a version of events written by people with their own agenda

true anarl, apparently he was so shy his mam used to walk him to me nans ,put his hand in me nans and shed walk him to school

i swear thats true btw:):)

Probably means that I've posted on here too long, but I usually believe you celeb stories these days. :-D

I am entitled to vote for the sole reason been, that they WANT my vote

I don't claim to know politics that well.I also have an opinion that they don't know how to do certain things, because it DIRECTLY affects me. I couldn't tell you about Spanish policies and how it affects their people.Do you know why? because, i don't live there.

You should read more and your opinions might be better informed.

That's just opinions though. 99.9% of all conversations are people talking about stuff they know fuck all about.

If the locals are replaced by people who don't drink alchohol,I would think that would have a huge bearing on the matter!

    fanfuckingtastic lets move the locals out of an estate and fill it with muslims..(not allowed to drink btw) it won't effect the pubs though..

You misunderstand me.

I said earlier that I haven't been to Hendon recently - not that sure I've ever been tbh. Maybe those closures are down to demographics shift. I don't know, certainly sounds possible.

However, pub closures are happening all over the place. The main reason is cheap supermarket booze.
