where has my country gone?

I am English, my country as well. I live in a world of fast, mass communication with easy travel. I am well informed and keep myself abreast of developments all over the world not just England or Britain and have an opinion about them. I reckon i am more informed than some of the ignorant comments i read on this board. It is totally irrelevant where i live, i can and will have an opinion.
Do you have an opinion on Iraq, Afghanistan, Scotland, America etc. etc. i am sure you do and it is good that you do. However, what some people are saying is that if you do not live in a country then you should have no opinion about it. Do you agree with that ? Why stop there ? Why should anyone in Sunderland have an opinion or say in events which happen in London or Bristol for example. Perhaps their entitlement to an opinion should stop after Hetton or Washington ! Utterly ridiculous.
Where i live is totally irrelevant to this thread or any other and of no concern to anyone on this World Wide Web messageboard.

not an informed opinion however , relying on third party info and agendas isnt an advantage of those living in the mix

i think this thread serves to illustrate excatly why politicians are too scared to debate the issue.

its a perfect example of a relevant point hijacked by name calling and points scoring, exactly like in westminster

and much like that, its those who arent directly affected by the issue who shout the loudest
its bizzarre really

Very true

Shut up you f***ing idiot, you sound like that TV advert that people take the piss out of.

Is that the best you can do Mr Miserable ? Poor show old boy.

How about reading that post and answering instead of trotting out you usual insults.

Show me anywhere in any of my posts that i have said i do not live in England/Britain . You are simply repeating as said an assumption that someone made earlier in this thread. Britain has the WWW as well you know.

has this turned into a 'who is el matador and where does he live contest' ? if so,is english not the language of your parents ?

 I have an opinion on all them places, and have read and watched programs on them.I would also listen to someone who lived there, and experienced it first hand themselves, and wouldn't think i knew better than them, about how THEY lived.

I was born in Sunderland and have all my family there.I have not lived there though since i was a kid, so i wouldn't say i know what it.s like to live there more than someone who actually does live there.I base my argument on things i see with my own eyes, day in, day out.

So following that logic you can not have a relevant opinion outside your immediate experiences !! Bizzare.
When was the last time you had a direct experience of parliament and its decision making processes ? But you still want to have your vote when it comes to elections etc. but by your own admission above you are not entitled to a say because you have no direct experience of them. Your argument is not a good one.
It seems to be said as done by some on here that i do not live in Britain because someone came to that conclusion earlier in this thread. Ah well.

If it suits him, it will appear. If it doesn't, he will move onto comment on a different post. To think there was some saying their argument was won yesterday, then it comes out the 2 loudest on this thread don't even live here! You have to laugh :lol::lol:

Probably darkies to boot as well!

Let's face it though - this issues discussed on this thread barely effect Sunderland. A lot of the debate was pointing to Bradford, Luton etc. as the places where this issue exists.

He must feel awfully vulnerable, when people are trying to pin his location down to er.......A country

Sorry - I was making the point about the fact that socrates and TLR are trying to make capital out of the fact that they know my real name.

I personally think that's a bit odd. I can understand why you'd want to know the country from which someone is posting, but I think it's fine too that people would want to keep that to themselves.

I am entitled to vote for the sole reason been, that they WANT my vote

I don't claim to know politics that well.I also have an opinion that they don't know how to do certain things, because it DIRECTLY affects me. I couldn't tell you about Spanish policies and how it affects their people.Do you know why? because, i don't live there.

I imagine like you i visit the north east, i have family and friends there so what is the relevance of the above statement ? You still seem to be working on an assumption made by someone earlier in the thread.

No, I haven't.

Is it a problem though? I used to live in Leeds and then Manchester, and tbh in the most part people just got on with things. Is Hendon a worse place to live in now because it's more ethnically diverse? Genuine question btw.
