Where do we struggle the most

What is it that we struggle with in games the most. I mean we have really found teams parking the bus at home difficult to break down and I’ve also seen us have trouble when teams press us. Plying out from the back was a big strength of ours yet that too seems to have gone west. Then if teams are smart enough to mark our wide attackers out of the game we have nobody making those runs through the middle. We seem to me to have 1 plan and when that isn’t working we do the same thing.

Midfield IMHO. I don’t fully understand the reason but we struggle to control the ball in central positions that causes pressure for the defence and leads to attacks breaking down.

It’s been a consistent pattern for months and was especially noticeable today.

Every loose ball, ricochet seemed not only to go to a Cov player but in many cases did so in a way that caused immediate danger for us. I’m not sure if it was just bounce of ball today, positioning, technique, mental quickness or all of the above. Coventry totally outclassed us in the middle and always seemed to have a CM ready to pick up the ball, with enough space to make a good decision.

It’s above my pay grade to solve. I’m hoping Regis and team have some ideas or we’re not going to last long in playoffs.

Nous. An intelligent experienced head in the centre.

Getting the ball from defence to attack.
Once the ball has been played sideways five times and backwards three times the opposition are just waiting in place.
Especially today when every inevitable cut inside was attempted, the defender couldn't have stayed any closer without standing on feet.

I would say anywhere on grass .The tunnel and changing rooms are no problem .it's just standing on that green stuff that interrupts the squad .

We can’t control the midfield at the minute. We look weak as piss at times.

The three of them today were shocking but they all look tired. Jobe in particular looked extremely slow and was just walking around for the most part.

There’s a lot to like about RLB but I think some of the players have been mismanaged.
Is he mismanaging them or forced to play them to sell them. Serious question.

Spray it a different colour.

We have Browne, Samed & Aleksic who should have been rotated more, our midfield looks knackered. I agree Samed hasn’t looked great but he is surely a better player than what we have seen, our coaches can’t seem to find his strengths.

Midfield, for a while we have lost that midfield battle. Today Coventry were way quicker and stronger in that area, winning every 50/50. Even in possession we have been too slow, and the amount of misplaced simple passes means we just can't keep hold of the ball.

I would have Browne in there for the remaining games, at least he does the simple things right.

Yep. But that same midfield three were bloody brilliant in our first 10 or so games
