Where are our signings

That's a myth though. Plenty of deals have been done already with clubs our size.

Mags, Swansea, Hull, West Brom have all done better business than ourselves so far.
No they haven't. Hull are spending money but the rest aren't doing any better. You are a really negative and panicking supporter.

Not negative mate just sick of the regime, I don't see us learning from our mistakes. Under Short our off field antics have been laugable and has shown to be out of his depth numerous times.
hows hr out of his depth, he knows more about running a club than any of us ever will, he will spend his money when the tight players are availaiblr not on any old shitr

Yep. And since then we have lost 13 players, including every left back on the books, arguably our player of the season in Borini, an important defender in Vergini, and two regular starters in midfield in Ki and Colback.

The only signings we have made have been a keeper (arguably no better than the one we had), a right back (probably about on a par with the one we had), and a 29 year old midfielder from the Championship on a free.

There are five weeks to go until the start of the season and we are way behind having the squad that we had that even finished 14th.

We have not got a left back on the books, our only central defenders are either in their mid-30s or are utter gash, there is no sign of any new signings on the horizon, even though clubs are back for pre-season, and indeed it looks highly likely that the next moves will be out (ie Scocco and Graham).

Meanwhile the local club mouhpiece in the press is still talking about the need to cut costs abnd get rid of deadwood.

Of course things can change quickly - I hope they do - but at present it appears like we are hoping that things will fall into place, when there are plenty of signals to suggest we won't get Alonso, and we won't get Borini.

Of course we don't know what is going on behind the scenes, but right now there is every reason to be concerned - and that will remain the case until we can honestly say the squad is better than the one that somehow avoided relegation. Currently, we are about 4 players short of even that squad.
I said that as the OP said we were one of the worst teams last season.

Aye you are right, but it's always the same in a World Cup year, the market kicks off when it's finished. I'm not saying we will be signing players from Bayern. But this Brazilian goes to Porto, so they sell a guy to Dortmund, who sell someone to Chelsea etc.

Nobody doubts we need bodies to at least replace those who left, hopefully with better overall quality. I'm sure they'll do what they can.

A mate of mine was talking to Congers and he told him that our transfer dealings were all but done and he's very happy with the top players we've signed so far.

We fought off a fair few teams to win Jones and Gomez's signatures.
