When have you felt lower than this....

... regarding SAFC? Not just after a game but the whole vibe around the club, Wilko appointment? Featherstone in charge? Being in the third division? After being so upbeat with McInnes seemingly in the bag to what I feel now, I thought the worst this season had to offer was that dreadful strip! What a f***ing mess, and we'll still have that strip...... I'm going to kip, night all
When we were relegated to the third division. We are just one season from that happening again!

The night we lost at Everton and Coventry cheated us into relegation.

Straight after the Gillingham defeat , like many.
Mind this season could run it close the way it seems to be heading at the minute
We'll be alright man, may take a while, but we'll be ok.
This is based on nothing other than blind faith, optimism, and the fact that no matter where in the world you live it doesn't piss down all the time.
Right, I'm away to finish me ark.

This will be my 60th season coming up and I've known a lot of low moments. Like the ball bouncing in off Tommy Harman's knob to deny us promotion against Chelsea; like Cloughy smashing his knee; like the hope Benno's goal gave us against Gillingham that was cruelly dashed with relegation; the WTF moment when Sgt. Wilko was announced; even Mickey Gray fluffing his pen at Wembley. They were moments. But this is something of a different order.
The only comparison I can make is when we got promoted in '64 and the Board decided they could run the team in the top division without a Manager at all! After Alan Brown left in the summer, they didn't appoint Hardwick until mid-November, having won only one game.
I've been against a sale. thinking this bunch of clowns will realise they have to clear up their own shit, and worrying that a foreign consortium with no experience of the game might be even worse for the club. But how much worse can it be.
Marx said history repeats itself, first as tragedy and then as farce.
Well I'm not f***ing laughing that's for sure.

I seriously lost interest in the lads during the dark days of Crosby-Butcher-Buxton. Those years, for me, were the worst simply because of the humdrum mediocrity of it all.

The third division drop was a shock, but didn't last long thanks to the G-Force. Surprisingly enough, another low was the end of Reid years... it was depressing how the club completely blew the huge tidal wave of positivity by not investing in the team after the two 7th place finishes.

The last few years have been awful with exciting finishes, but I feel the shadow of Buxtonesque mediocrity falling over us again.

Bury away in the league cup, Quinny as caretaker manager.

The only time I've ever genuinely considered packing in this whole football carry on.
