When have you felt lower than this....

Not quite at my lowest feeling about the club yet, we've had plenty of these pretty rough moments, but the Mcmenemy era was rock bottom and it is starting to feel ominously close. We appear to have absolutely no cash/budget, no manager, a feeling of our players being like rats escaping from a sinking ship, a chairman who desperately wants out, our main two star players have already gone, we have a seriously awful new strip (personal opinion), massive debts and absolutely no light glimering in the distance down a very long tunnel... We are a month in to close season already, with a lot of other clubs being stable, bringing in new players, have their season ahead planned, etc, etc... Yeah, we've definitely had better periods in the clubs history...

I have seen us beat the scum six times in a row think i will just die happy with that

Quite the opposite, we have a chance to rebuild, sold a star to reduce our debt load hopefully, let another move due to his wages which in turn will reduce debt load, a chance to look at managers instead of rushing to have one, few more high profile player sales would be nice to reduce our wages...

... regarding SAFC? Not just after a game but the whole vibe around the club, Wilko appointment? Featherstone in charge? Being in the third division? After being so upbeat with McInnes seemingly in the bag to what I feel now, I thought the worst this season had to offer was that dreadful strip! What a f***ing mess, and we'll still have that strip...... I'm going to kip, night all
Not at all. I'm pleased we're not throwing daft money at a manager we're not really sure about it and taking our time for once.

I feel relieved. We'll get a better manager and new wealthy owners - job's a good un.

When Ken Knighton/Lawrie Mc were appointed managers and Toddy was sold.
Toddo! Starting to wonder about your credentials.

A fella has turned us down. So what. There could be a million and one reasons why he turned us down. People focus of the reasons that maybe the clubs fault.

I don't think its that. I think its more due to what he turned us down for and the fact that we have been chasing him for a month. Just screams as something is being unbelievably badly ran.

I dont think we have a god giving right just to expect him to come to Sunderland because we are a bigger club.

I'm sure we've all felt lower than this, the problem is that we seem to be at a tipping point where if something drastic (i.e. takeover) doesn't happen sharpish, then a record low for all of us will not be far away.
Agree, we are slowly being ground down. Same mistakes being made over and over again. What is happening, what's the plan, is anybody at the club bothered? I think not.

Aye, but apart from that...:D. As bad as the whole general feel is i still haven't had a kick in the bollocks like i had when we sold Chris Turner. Was f***ing devastated at that.

No ones talking about any right or anything like that. We followed a chap for a month, a pretty critical time for the club, that has turned us down. The whole thing reeks of incompetence at best.

Like there's not two beans to rub together and Short is collecting back his debt ready for a cheap sell off?

Argh, now that i agree with, if he wasnt keen surely he wasnt keen a month ago. A la first attempt to sign borini

All I want now is something to give us hope of better things to come going into this season. A surprisingly good managerial appointment, a takeover, a couple of good signings, anything. Seems like it's been bad news after bad news from the club since about January.

Still can't get over the shock when that fucker walked through the door with Murray for the press conference, when i think about it!

I'd nivver even heard of talk sport but my jock marra reckoned they'd have the news first so I tuned in and listened at work for what seemed like years. Nee body would work near me as I wouldn't have any music on until the appointment.
I still remember exactly what I was doing when they broke the news.....erecting ready made bog cubicles in a Central London Community Centre. I staggered out into the main hall and apparently I'd turned white......the site agent (auld school spurs fan) thought I'd been electrocuted! I could barely get the news out of my mouth. My jock marra finally realised what had happened and told the site agent and said I'd better sit down. The site agent said "I think we'd all better sit down"!!!! So we did and had a cup of tea while listening to Talksport who couldn't believe it either.

It wasn't exactly a barrel of laughs from August onwards either marra!
