What's your favourite fruit?

For me it's;

Galia melon - refreshing and great with Greek yoghurt
Red grapes - perfect with a cheese board and so handy
Pineapple - tasty, juicy and versatile, cooked or raw.

A perfect pear is hard to beat.

Other goodies: grapes, nectarines, mangos, bananas.

Also runnners: stewed dried figs, stewed apples, tinned peaches

Often overrated : strawberries, apples, blueberries

A bit meh: gooseberries, not perfect pears.

Raspberries - my family take the p*ss because it's the first thing in the shopping trolley every week - I'll even stop and pick wild ones at the road side when they're in season.

Satsumas are nice at this time of year as well.

I have a neighbour who brings me bunches of them from the tree in her garden, thankfully she also has a proper banana tree and so the last bunch was much more to my taste.

I think plantains are a little less flavoursome by comparison.
