What's to see and visit in Sunderland?

Never been up to Penshaw ornament in all my years . Walks around the area are great . Id go to a game ,a bit culture walk around the town . St Peters, glass centre, Tunstall Hill. The parakeets in the park
Show at the Empire

A stroll through Roker Park, round the pond and cut down through the fairy dell, past the bandstand and under the little white bridge coming out onto Roker beach. A walk along the pier then along to Seaburn. Just wonderful.

Every time people visit for the first time with me the beach is the main draw. My kids have spent more time there than anywhere else up here. My daughter likes our museum/gardens.

My FIL made his first ever visit, he’s 86 like so obviously not looking for the night life, he loves the beach and the sol. Loves how compact the place is, everything within 5 minutes. He’s spent his whole life in Essex/London.

He sat above Roker beach on a bench for a good few hours chatting to locals, loves the place. Lads fan now too :)

Glass centre. Went in last week to watch the students working some glass. Was class. Bought a glass ornament and had a bite to eat anarl. All in all had a nice stroll from Bonnersfield to Seaburn.
