What's the point in maths?

I know its so you can add things up but it's not like everyone wants to be chancellor, people only need to learn percentages so when they're looking at an item which is 25% off they wouldn't need to ask what's 25% of 200 .

If someone could remove 1/5th of you, I'd welcome that.

Or just leave 1/5th, even better.

There's three kind of people in this world. Those who can count, and those who can't.

So stuff comes out right when you've built it

The point? It generally signifies the whole numbers to the left and fractions thereof (expressed over 100) to the right.

Like it or not, there are a huge number of jobs (far below chancellor of anything) that require mathematics on a daily basis. Not coincidentally, many of those are paid pretty well because thick-skulled humanzees like you refuse to even make a basic effort and thus take themselves out of the applicant pool.

I'm really really bad at maths prefer to think I'm good at the arty subjects like interpretive dance
