What's best to do on Saturday? - Drink wise

I was in the "posh" level for the Charlton game. I also thought that I had wandered into the wrong area by mistake. It's more like a hotel lounge than a football stadium.

Also on the 2nd Tier this weekend so hopefully away from the riff-raff :)
What’s the atmosphere like in the seats on level 2 mate?

Me too. Although it was a pleasant surprise last time I’m worried my expectations won’t be met this time. If there’s no pre-match canapés available I’m going to be grumpy all game.

Aye staying in the Premier Inn there. My plan to get to the stadium is one stop to Ealing common, change to Piccadilly line, off at Rayners Lane and Metropolitan line to Wembley Park.

There’s a bus runs direct from the Broadway takes about 30 with no changes. Not sure how long the tube takes?

Pubs around Baker Street will be rammed with our lot.

From there
Hamm & City Line 2 stops Wembley Park
Jubilee Line 9 stops to Wembley Park (Wembley Way)
Bakerloo Line 12 stops to Wembley Central West of the Stadium

Also trains from Marylebone
which station is closest to the ground?, one of my mates cant walk very well so want the closest one, we will be coming from K+ but stopping at a pub on the way

My hotel is in Farringdon (not SR3) anyone any advice on pubs there or just go to ground?

Fox and Anchor opens at 8am. Worth a visit for the history. Probably the only market porters pub still going now. Most others midday round there.

Wembley Stadium. Get the train from Marylebone and it'll drop you near enough at our end.

I'm assuming our "Fan Zone" is outside London Designer Outlet with us having the West-side of the stadium. So probably dump our bags in the Premier Inn which is right beside there that we were lucky enough to book then have a few in our Fan Zone at about 11am all being well.

We've got tickets on Level 2 of Wembley so I don't mind heading into the ground early for a few pints and with it being my son's first visit he will be itching to get in.

Drinking afterwards is the bit I'm still trying to work out. Bing in football shirts and having a 7 year old with us might limit us, particularly if we headed into the centre of London. Got a feeling we won't particularly be welcome on a Saturday night in a lot of places.
When ive been down for the NFL with the youngest most pubs will let him in until 9:00pm and no later

Few of the lads struggling to make our minds up, not sure on whether to get down to the Wembley area early and go to the pubs or to stay in central London until 12/1ish. My only worry is that there'd be next to no atmosphere away from the ground, so was just wondering what people are doing.
Definitely want to be somewhere on the tube line to Wembley, time always seems to fly by in London, lots of time wasted walking around undergrounds etc. Get to your destination early 9 or 10 oclock and leave no later than 2.

Big Wetherspoons right next to Farringdon station which is football friendly. I will be there for brekkie on Saturday morning (and maybe a beer) before moving to Kings Cross.

Some decent pubs for the Fri/Sat night a short walk away in Clerkenwell and around Smithfield market.

This is good advice. The spoons and the Globe will be absolutely stowed off. Both those mentioned above or the Beehive or the Barley Mow. The couple of minutes walk will save you ages at the bar.
Train arrives just after 9am for me I was planning on breakfast in the spoons around Baker Street, sounds like its going to be rammed and we all want a few pints easily on Saturday morning in town on the other hand we want to soak up the atmosphere
:)

Yeah, used to be a load of early opening pubs around Smithfield for the market workers. Breakfasts were amazing as the produce were so fresh. Just checked and most look like they are midday opening now.
