What's best to do on Saturday? - Drink wise

It’s pretty quick service in Wembley, there’s loads of bars. Saying that I’ve only been in the lower tier and the middle so not entirely sure if you’re in the top.

Any recommendations for a decent one around Baker Street mate? The globe is off limits after the Charlton game, far too busy and plastic cups.
It's not my end of town so no great tips, however I'd strongly recommend walking around the corner to the Volunteer or the Windsor Castle. The pubs directly outside the station will be heaving beyond belief. Save yourself the hassle and get away from it.

Number of quiet-ish pubs in the back roads around Baker Street avoiding the Globe and Met Bar, both of which will be rammed. Google Maps is your friend.

Drinking near Russell Square until around 12. Head up to Euston and jump off at Baker St. Couple there then up to Wembley.

Cracking proper boozer. 2 or 3 minutes from the Globe. The Beehive - London Restaurant

This is good advice. The spoons and the Globe will be absolutely stowed off. Both those mentioned above or the Beehive or the Barley Mow. The couple of minutes walk will save you ages at the bar.

They didn’t enforce the rule like for England games recently but I’m guessing their arses are twitching with us being in such numbers and that.

Still haven’t decided yet like. Done it last few england games and not a word was said. Again, they might be a lot stricter with us but I’m leaning toward chancing it on Wembley way.

Aye staying in the Premier Inn there. My plan to get to the stadium is one stop to Ealing common, change to Piccadilly line, off at Rayners Lane and Metropolitan line to Wembley Park.
You can get a bus straight upto Wembley from Ealing Broadway. The buses in London on most routes run so regularly that they don't even bother with a timetable. It just says every 6 mins etc. Dont underestimate the buses or rule them out, they are often far quicker than the tubes and trains especially for journeys like that one. Just use google maps and it has real time bus info, its a great tool in London.

We are probably going to have breakfast in the spoons at Ealing Broadway and toying with staying round there till about 1:45 then jumping on the bus. Might head down to Paddington though and stick to the back streets then head upto Baker street for the tube. Not sure yet.

I had never even considered the bus tbh, good shout. I'll definitely look into it, a direct bus would definitely be preferable to 3 different tubes.

Don't think I'll be drinking a huge amount, until I found out Wembley Way was drink free our plan was to just head there and hang around, maybe have 1 or 2. Now it's probably gonna be get breakfast nearby and maybe a pint or 2, then get to Wembley Way about 1.45pm-2pm.

Anyone know what level 2 is like for food and drinks? Better than 1 and 3?

was in level 2 for the charlton game. Dead spacious on the concourse, more like a hotel really . Didn’t remember queuing and there was lots of choice for food and drinks

I am guessing level 1 and 3 are abit busier getting a drink ?

Years back everyone would be asking about cheapest booze, about swapping price tags on cans and bottles in the shops or even nicking the stuff. It's great to see we now live in a time when money is no object 😀

What’s a good time to tell people to go to ground

I suggested Baker Street spoons then they are meeting mates at Swiss cottage. Which takes 30 mins to ground including walking

You wanna be getting in ground at 2…2:30? Or what?

They’re very keen to avoid like an airport lounge situation in the ground and wanna enjoy a can or too on Wembley way first

Any advice appreciated,
Taking 1 or 2 cans each to sup outside the pubs we've been allocated away from Wembley Way. Will also buy a few actual pints in the pubs as well provided it doesn't take half an hour to get served.

We'll probably then bite the bullet and head into the ground about 1.45/2 and get one in there as well.
