What type of car do you drive?

  1. Aye but are you basing that on how it looks or what, because I can assure you sitting in a normal focus is not the same as sitting in a RS when your foot is down

Not denying the Type R has it's positives and I would definitely like a go of the newest(FK2). At first didn't like the look of the FN2 but having a go of one changed that
  2. Silly children. Cracking motor.

I'm basing it on the overall package, performance wise the RS is great but for everyday use there's not a great deal in it.

I struggle to justify about 36k for a Ford Focus. I test drive both back to back a few times before deciding what to go for. Insurance costs were a massive difference, servicing pack for the Type R was a great offer and looks wise the Type R pisses all over the RS, monthly payments were over £100 cheaper for the Type R. I was a previous mk2 RS owner so moving to the Type R wasn't a decision I took lightly, overalll I felt the whole package of the Type R was great value for money, RS is still a great car though.

Erm definitely not mine then ha

Aye the pre facelift was 295 I think and they launched the facelift last April I think with 310 bhp. I mean don't get me wrong, both sitting in 2nd and putting your foot flat to the floor the RS3 would be away, but for every day use it does me fine.

You have to love Audi like, they fit an electronic limiter to the RS3 to limit the car to 155 mph same in the S3,but you can pay them to remove that limiter which increases the top speed to 177 mph for the small fee of £1700
  7. Only had Audis mate, cost me a bloody fortune over the years, shame the designers are on drugs these days

That's what vagcom is for ;)

Dunno what you find funny. I'm not well off by any means but would rather help my family than pose in a flash car. I am fast approaching sixty mind, the flash cars have been and gone.

36 Grand?! Mental that, mind. I'd rather buy a used car and spend it on something like a Porsche.

At the end of the day, it's just a performance Focus, no matter how well it drives. Mind, I haven't liked the Focus since the Mk1. That was a good drive and a real looker. I don't like much at all about the later ones, no matter how much the motoring press toss themselves over them.

    I'd have a Mk1 Focus RS, mind!

Aye, for off-roading. I'd hate to have one as my everyday drive. There's nothing redeeming about them on tarmac.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend you!

There was a new black un round the corner from our site last week. Gorgeous it was. How much are they?
I've always put any excessive cash I've had into property as I've averaged 3000 miles per year for the last 30 so it'd be money down the drain with most new cars.

Just got rid of a C63. Awful car, like driving a go kart.
