What is ? (your ideal life)

Quite house in rural France with a little orchard and pasture . Barn on the side run as a not for profit mindfulness retreat .
Might have goats and learn how to make cheese . Small fishing lake or on a river would be good .
this for me more or less..... nee mindfulness mind as i dont think id want to share the place but the extra space would be handy for visitors, would like to grow plenty of food too

Got the house, cars and money.
I'm happiest when I'm fit and able to train. No better feeling that getting up out the chair feeling the aches of a decent work out. Never going to be as fit as I was in my 20's so need to be realistic.
Aslong as my family and loved ones are all H&H then I don't mind losing everything else.

We’ll always work, it’s inbuilt into most of us and keeps us sane. The difference is that with money or retirement you can do the work you enjoy, whether that be grafting in the garden/allotment, tinkering around restoring old stuff or whatever floats your boat. We’re not programmed to do nowt whilst we still can.
Speak for yourself. I don’t do anything I don’t have to. I’ve lived in this house for 10 years, never decorated Or done any DIY and I barely clean it. If I retired tomorrow I’d spend my time sleeping in til midday and the rest of my time gaming, cycling and staring at my phone. There wouldn’t be a shred of anything you could consider work being done.

I’d love @Gillythedilf s life, perfech house/wife/kids/neighbours, an island in the kitchen, an atrium, false hair, clothes out ready when you wake up, a mobile toilet everywhere you go, the list is endless.

Aye happy with my lot, decent business, work/life balance n lovely house, family kids, hols maybe lessening due to covid but never been happier really.
I have the perfect(ish) house, kids, wife ,looks, friends ,neighbours, etc but it’s not down to luck mate.Ill not put up with any shit and work hard.

Joking aside I’ve had more than my fair share of bad luck over the years be it burying people that should still be here/outliving me ,or our lass been in a wheelchair for yonks Due to botched operations,or being told one of your kids probs has leukaemia then “sorry it’s been a mistake in the lab”the day he goes in for the bonemarrow test.

I’m a lucky bloke overall and I wouldn’t change any of it,especially if I had to make my own bait.

If toute happy with your fill then that's great. My best mate just ha d a bairn 2m premo. I've got 2 girls that are prefect. That's the stuff that makes me think I'm lucky

Yeah. An angel investor would be amazing. As long as you knew what you were doing of course.
Nah, that'd be half the fun. I'll always remember Shaq turning down an investment in Starbucks when they were tiny. His rational was "black people don't drink coffee"
Fishing and hunting. Get a PlayStation 😂
Got one mate. What about fishing and hunting?

Canny little thing to learn to keep the brain ticking over. Catching, killing and eating your food would be a good skill to perfect.

Some people want to be millionaires and have all the trappings..

others are happy to work 9-5 in a factory.

If money wasn't an issue at all.

How would you live your life?
big home in Sunderland and a nice holiday home in Spain, probably a quiet corner of Majorca. Flitting back and forward depending on where Sunderland are playing. Probably spend most of the off-season in Spain.

I know. I think I could retire now if I live cheaply.
yeah especially if you get free broadband right?

why a big home? would a small home not suffice?

not a really big one. Maybe 3 or 4 bed, currently live in a 2 bed so I’m not asking for much. I will end up in a 3 bed regardless when I want to buy a house so I’m not really pushing the boat out here. Just a big south-facing garden, and a spare room for me to do something with, man cave type thing.

YESS.. but what would you like to do in said cave?
Buy a tropical island and make myself king.

Spend my days fannying about in the sea.
