Have a try of tuna steaks. A very meaty flavour. Not a seafood fan at all, that fishy taste makes me retch every time.
It gets me down a bit because whenever I’m away in somewhere like the south of France and we see the table next to us being brought seafood dishes they look absolutely stunning and I always want to try them, but I know I won’t be able to eat it.
Mackerel is one of , if not the nicest fish in our waters imo and I think I’ve tried most if not all. Just grill or bbq with salt and pepper and jobs a goodun.Have a try of tuna steaks. A very meaty flavour.
Or even barbecued mackerel. If it’s fresh and done right it’ll not taste fishy at all

We had tuna sashimi as a starter yesterday in a wonderful restaurant in a romantic setting overlooking the Mediterranean . I had eat our lasses like . (sashimi afore y' ask)Lemon sole in burnt butter sauce or tuna otoro sashimi. Butterfish is excellent too. Pity you can only eat a small amount per sitting.
Bass, no such fish as a Seabass.Seabass is up there. Crispy skin and cooked in butter.
