For me VAR and all that goes with it, but mainly, all the fancy talk re formations from coaches/managers who try to sound clever by totally complicating a simple game.

Maybe I'm a 🦕 but nobody will ever convince me that a full blooded match between two sides from the 70s 80s or 90s playing 4-4-2 with an instant linesman/referee decision is not better than where modern day football is at.

Sorry mate but nobody can ever say the football Pep's Barca circa 2010/11 has ever been bettered by anyone anywhere.
It's light years ahead of anything ever to come out of this country.
In my opinion the Man Utd side of that era is one of, if not the best we've seen in the PL and Barca absolutely embarrassed them at Wembley in the CL final in 2011, it was like watching a bully pick on a little kid.

I hate the play acting that is endemic in the game today and cowardly managers who set teams up in a negative way to try to not lose a game first rather than going out to win the game first....Southgate is a classic example of that type in my opinion.

People saying contact gives the player the right to go down.

People using their phones at the match to record a penalty etc...

The amount of people who turn their back on their local clubs in order to support a top 6 team.

I wasn't referring to the standard more the circus that goes with football

Play acting and the celebrity culture around a lot of players. Take someone like Dele Alli, loved watching him when he first broke into the Spurs team but he seems to be more bothered about promoting clothing brands on Instagram.
