Ye mine does it all the time.
They dream of the idealised life for their breed so a spaniel will dream of being out on the hunt and a doberman will dream of chasing burglars.

Not really, they'll soon click on its not real in the same we do, even when young, and without any scientific explanation. Over time they'll associate it with kip.
I read somewhere that a clever dog has the same intelligence level as a 2 year old human. I can't wait until the mutt does a dump in a potty and draws its mam and dad.
