What’s in the beer in the UK...

Beer seems stronger on mainland Europe to our equivalent. Heineken over her 4.8, Holland is about 6. Grolsh was 6.9% or something similar in Amsterdam too which seems strange that I too seem to drink more and feel better over there than over here.

Yes. Although technically they aren't true lagers as they're top fermented instead of the normal bottom fermentation of lager. They're also warm fermented and then conditioned at cold temperatures.

That’s true of Kolsch but Helles is a true, blue lager made with lager yeast.

Basically any beer which is not forward is fine to keep and tales of it being ‘passed its best’ after an unusually short period are likely bollocks.

Mass produced lager is brewed too quickly.

I went to my local brewery recently and they brew it over a longer period of time. Equals no hangover.

German beer is pure, you can drink it till it comes out of your ears, and not get a hangover. However one nasty side effect, is that the litter bin in ones cabin always ends up full of piss in the morning for some reason???:rolleyes:
