Wetherspoons selling off real ales at 99p/pint ahead of lockdown

Been on the market a good while now. There’s talk of it becoming an American diner place.

Strange time to sell it with them opening the link through to the arches coming up which will open up a whole new run right down to the racecourse and river.
Struggled since coming out of lockdown

Don't allow dogs in. It's a no from me
Good, no wonder its a roaring success.
Just down in Billingham spoons now. Tremendous 99p pints, coffee refills 99p. Breakfast £1.99 for sausage egg muffin with unlimited refills of coffee. Place is packed. Brilliant
Hogarths in South Shields are doing pints for £1.79. its like going back in time. Wouldhave spoons just up the road and the ship nearby all cheap as chips. Love it.

Is it me or are spoons missing a nice european Pilsner on draught? A heineken or a staropramen or a estrella or a peroni?

I always find their san miguel iffy & Budwesier, Carlsberg, Bud Light, Corona can just get in the sea. Had a Stella there and it was shite (might have been a bad pour). coors & carling = dross.

I remember 10+ years ago each spoons had some of their own lagers on in addition to the stock lagers. Clearly recall drinking Red Stripe and Asahi in the Union Rooms

Tim isn't prepared to pay what they want. Didn't he fall out with Heineken, when they put prices up, and he stopped selling it?

Was drinking bottles of Moretti in the local spoons on Saturday, admittedly not draught, but big bottles and a great price. Hit the spot a treat.

Did you get a Moretti glass to go with it? The spoons I was in a few weeks ago had stopped giving them out cos they kept getting nicked. Would only give me a standard nonic glass.

Yeah, she did mention that she would have to look for them.
Did anyone actually end up boycoutting Weatherspoon's in the end?
Hadaway and shite man, can never get a seat in the wouldhave. Value always wins.
Wertherspoons the average age of the clientele.
Full of younguns now man Paddy. Appreciating the cost of living savings, which are few and far between these days.
