Wetherspoons selling off real ales at 99p/pint ahead of lockdown

I didn't say I wanted them to close just not a fan of spoons.

Big sale starts the morra. Think they have Guinness on at £2.79 a pint or summat daft for those that like it. 99p for a few drinks, £1.69 for the next few after that.

Mainly shite but if you go for quantity over quality then fill your byuts. Remoaners will be seething nee doubt.

Spoons will be as precious to the British public as the NHS by the time all this shite is over

Not a big fan of spoons but have been becoming a more regular customer recently. 4 pints in there the other day before going to the more expensive places.
The four pints in Spoons are a good remedy for the shock of the other places. Crackers really when you actually think about it.

I had a pint of shipyard in the angel in Whitby the other day. Cracking pint for £2.59.
Nice venue, nice pint 👍
There is in my town a few pubs that can more or less match, give or take 10 or 20p. But maybes there is another way of looking at Spoons and that is it may attract initial drinkers that then spill out to the pubs near by?

or another way is, its the right kind of pub for a certain client, and isn't the right kind for others, if so the app, is perfect in that regard, and gets a lot of use.

That's fair enough but time and time again the grass is greener syndrome kicks in at away games and we walk a few minutes and end up somewhere else.

Which is entirely up to you, and your group of course, as is going to somewhere that isn't giving tim money the preview of someone else etc.
