Wetherspoons selling off real ales at 99p/pint ahead of lockdown

Called into Jamesons and selection of Ales uninspiring again especially for those of us who like IPA or Golden Ale.
Shields Wouldhave carry a far better choice so have to hit there a few times next few weeks to use my Camra vouchers
Is it me or are 99% of spoons carrying exactly the same stock and lines?

I remember 10 year ago many pubs had different draught to each other. You’d go somewhere random and see a lager that wasnt on anywhere else (ie Red Stripe was in the Quayside Bar) but thats long long gone.

Only have real Ale marra and that varies very much with as above sun lunch the worst. They usually have at least one local one but not Today whereas Shields will often have as many as 3

In fairness marra at 1.99 a pint (even less with your vouchers) a decent pint is all you can with for. Plenty of independent places If you want to spend £4 a go

The one in North End is a shambles. Tables with no number on. No menus unless you download the app. The Wi-Fi doesn't work and you can only get a signal for data connection if you gan outside. If i did that then someone would probably nick my f*cking seat.

Full of auld people anarl eating fish and chips, chasing the last garden pea round the plate with their fork (they will get their £4.99's worth) and thinking they're in Harry Ramsdens.

Went last night to Jameson's (Cooper Rose is closed for refurb).

Was packed to the rafters, even at 4pm... couldnt get a seat for a good 30mins, then spent another 10 in the queue for the bar, ended up having to get double rounds and still the bastard only came to £12 for 5 DM's, and 2 Brewdog Punk AF 0.% (for the driver)

Cracking Pint of Darwin Rolling Hitch today in Jamesons.
Had a whinge on here about the lack of Golden/IPA in there a couple of weeks ago. 5.2% Amarillo hopped IPA outstanding value today £1.49 with my Camra voucher😃😎
