Wetherspoons selling off real ales at 99p/pint ahead of lockdown

Just in Spoons up in Blyth. Folk of all ages having a bit food and drink, enjoying themselves. Old fella on the table next to us with a couple of pints minding doing his Sudoku happy as a pig in shit. Nice pub this.

The Wallaw is a posh pub in Blyth, they have a no tracksuit bottoms rule (or used to anyway). The scratters are elsewhere there's enough dodgy pubs around for them.

It's a crap spoons though, too open and has a weird atmosphere. The one in Cramlington is better if your up here.

First pub we found, just going to the football. It's nice enough in here. Tad rough outside mind

I don’t mind spoons
You know exactly what you’re getting no matter where you are and most are busy.
I don’t like how they treat their suppliers however but that is passed onto the customer as it’s git cheap

Got to say it how I see it, if you don’t like big business bullying suppliers don’t ever go to a supermarket, a spoons or buy a car.

Called into Jamesons and selection of Ales uninspiring again especially for those of us who like IPA or Golden Ale.
Shields Wouldhave carry a far better choice so have to hit there a few times next few weeks to use my Camra vouchers
