So what do we take from the series with West Indies?

Reasonably positive I think following on from the ODI World Cup where we were atrocious.

West Indies have a pretty decent T20 side beating South Africa and India in 2023 and 2022 so 3-2 is respectable.

Batting generally pretty good with Salt excellent and Buttler back in form. Questions over Jacks and Livingstone still for me.

Good to give Ahmed a chance and think he will keep improving. Please no Curran going forward but I can still imagine him playing. Please can we have Malan back as well.

The difference is Buttler has done it consistently at international level, Livingstone hasn't really.

There’s not a team he wouldn’t get into imo. Would probably keep for the Aussies

Agree, when it clicks for Buttler there’s few more destructive openers in short format.
I honestly feel like he just needs a 2 month or so break, clear his head and come back fresh.
