He's offside. Look at the lines mate. Have you got the colours mixed up?
Yep stupidly close but Undeniably offside
And let’s be fair without the single worst VAR decision ever seen Villa would be in the championship now so they can hardly complain

Why would you apply a margin of error on top of a margin of error? Do you have any intelligence whatsoever to comprehend what error is?

No no my sorry friend. It is you that is struggling to understand. Is this 'margin of error' a finite range? For consistency purposes it would need to be set at a specific distance, no? Say, the margin of error covers a specific area ahead of the last man, perhaps 1m for arguments sake. Yes?

What if the attacker is 101 cm offside but the flag stays down?

If the margin of error was calculated to be 100cm and the guy was 101cm offside in the still. Then confidence could be gained in the offside decision and it would be given offside. Do you actually know what a margin of error is, or a confidence interval?
I would like to see a league wide vote on it cause everyone I've met f***ing hates it.

Footballers are too stupid to understand that offside is not absolute like they claim, at least not within the tolerance that the current system allows

Found a good article for you to read that might get this into your brain. It has pictures and everything.

The Dutch league has adopted this margin of error approach to get more accurate decisions
And the premier league agree with me

Something I may have mentioned before concerning the need for a margin of error for offside. The players position for offside is judged from when the pass is made, I reckon there is at least 2 or 3 seconds of duration for when the ball is deemed to have been kicked/passed, which translate to at least from the start to finish of the 2/3 seconds of pass time to a few inches of when the player is moving. Hence a margin of error.

You aren’t wrong either. It’s called a moment of inertia of the ball and lasts around 80-120ms. At 10m/s that’s enough for a player to travel 8-12cms. And the rules of the game don’t define when the ball is played either. Is it played when my foot touches the ball or when the ball leaves my foot? When you kick it, your foot enters the ball, then the ball rebounds off your foot and leaves.

This on top of the other errors mean that many sources keep citing around a 30-40cm total error. On that basis, it’s horrendous calling someone offside by a couple of cm.

No laughing matter mate - var would give that as a penalty. If you put heat vision on you’ll see particles of the defenders breath hit Grealish and that contact is enough for the attacker to go down.

Not sure it’s miracles tbh. Your squad is more than good enough to be top 10. And you aren’t the lowest spending squad. On transfers in one window maybe, but if you factor in wages you’ll be miles ahead of most teams.

Look at the transformation he has made in the likes of belbeuna, cresswell, Antonio, masuaku from this time last year

day and night

his signings since he came back - souchek, coufal , Bowen have all been top notch and benrahma looks like he will be another

maybe not miracles but a totally top class job all done on a budget of zero

100% record last month so should be in line for his 3rd manager of the month nomination in 4 months

How much did you pay for Benrahma and Bowen? How much wages are they on? Budget of zero is laughable pal
