Officials make mistakes, we need to help and support themsomehiw make tgeur job easier, the game itself is being badly damaged by the constant carping about their perfornance
I was at a local game yesterday ( snd I see a lot of local foitball ) and from the first whistle both teams and benches complained , disrespected, were aggressive, and whinged about the officials, ( it has to stop)of course the attitude from the bench is followed by the players- there was an awful, negative atmosphere, almost whatever decision was given was whinged about, it was almost childish, like I was watching a bunch of unruly teenagers
We cannot continue like this, or there will not be enough refs to officiate from grass roots up

Saw loads of comments on the match thread on there saying the ref was shite today, gave us everything, and that the tackle on Maja was criminal assault.

Not one mention of the blatant fkn elbow that nearly broke Pritchards face, or the two-footed lunge that nearly snapped Clarke's ankles, or Huggins getting ragdolled to the floor, or the obvious goal Jobe scored, or the 6 yellow cards they got for constant fouling.

Deluded nobs. Glad we slapped them.
Or the elbow in Robert’s neck

They’ve got a point on the Ballard tackle he lost his head and could have been sent.

I think the officials got pretty much all key decisions wrong again. There was some really laughable ones. Even the one where Sarmiento shot and clearly hit a Sunderland player (Jobe I think) and went for a corner. They have a goal kick.

Standard of officiating is horrific, however the two major decisions in the game being the offside and the pen went WBA way.

We were comfortably the better side

The absolute sh*te that is spouted week in week out about referees is far more embarrassing and problematic than the referees performances. There are two issues that really thick people just can't register:

1. The vast majority of decisions that fans complain about are decisions that they would agree with if the colour of the shirts were swapped.

2. In real time the referees are working on pure guess work. Usually an obstructed view, very quick in real time and usually a fair distance from the incident.

One thing I'm certain of, you or I or anyone else on this forum or any other manager or pundit wouldn't do a better job. Eventually the penny will drop but even 20, 25, 50 years from now we'll have the same sh*t spouted about referee decisions.

In essence, what we generally hear is stuff that I would expect from 6 year olds on sports day.

In the midlands I’ve always found Wolves and Albion top lads. Birmingham a bit tough round the edges but an ok lot.
Villa and Coventry are monumental bellends though.
