West Brom Forum

If the West Brom defender made that challenge and then went on to score the opener this place would have melted down mind. It would never have been forgotten about and it would have been cries of incompetence and corruption for ever more. As they went for us it barely got a murmur of a mention yesterday. Every club fans remember the bad ones and conveniently forgot the ones that go for you hence why most fans are convinced them are the ones who get shafted by officials more than others

Should have been a booking when ref played on for the second goal as Myanda was rugby tackled to the floor bursting through as Pritch sliped Neil in.

Linesman disallowed a clear goal on one of the worst offside decisions I have ever seen.

Think they have little to complain about.

One of the worst offside decisions you've ever seen? It was three quarters of a yard at best man. Not great obviously but hardly crime of the century. Every person whose ran a line would have missed similar or worse. As ever the still photo makes these look a lot worse

The ref and linesmen were terrible. If they had gotten Bellingham's goal correct in the first place none of the challenges or chances after that would've happened as the game would've been completely different. The refs kept making huge mistakes that played a massive part on the game. If they had gotten any one of them correct it changes the result in a big way.
At least they were shite for both teams. Still no idea how you can fill one player 7 or 8 times and never be booked. Clarke got kicked and pulled over the shop, again.

The two fouls on Clarke by two different players when he played in Roberts to get tripped in the box should've seen two yellows as well

Let’s be honest if that Ballard challenge had been a WBA player on Jobe we’d all be absolutely outraged. It would often be a red.
apart from two were all against referees 😉

If the ref had done his job & stopped play for the foul on our lad 30 seconds before the Ballard incident wouldnt have happened
This is also true and possibly why he got away with a yellow.

Totally, it was just another in a multitude of fuck ups by the officiating team throughout the game. I've still no idea how they didn't have about 4 or 5 players booked in the first half alone.

People were adamant that Roberts should have had a pen for a dive on here.

Football fans can be utterly blind to reason regardless of the team they support.

Was a blatant red for Ballard. Refs fault though as the play should have already been stopped.

Mind didn't we have a player get a red card foul done on him last season but whistle had already gone, so wasn't allowed to be carded.

I think most fans are pointing out how rubbish the officials once again were and aren't barely giving it a murmur. Massive mistakes throughout the game that changed the outcome of the game. That Ballard challenge would never have happened if we were given the free kick just a few seconds beforehand that we should've had. He should've sent Ballard off for it because he hasn't given the foul, but he also should've sent two of the Baggies players off during the game as well. We should've had a goal much earlier in the game. It seems you're allowed to foul Clarke every few minutes and you can foul him however you like and it's ok. Those and many many other incidents. I know how hard refereeing is, I've done a few games myself but that yesterday was pathetic

If it was a dive why wasn't he booked for simulation

Didn't pick it up on TV coverage but before that Roberts chance when he went down. Clarke had the ball and was manhandled by two of their players trying to drag him down, ref played on which was the correct decision however I'm going to assume the ref didn't go back and book their players?
Yeah he didn't. Shit ref

Swear the first challenge was from Molumby who got a yellow later for turning jack Clarke's shirt into a parachute he had it pulled that much.

Because the ref was absolutely shit.

I mean you watched Cantwell not get a booking for one of the worst dives probably ever been seen on a football pitch.

I noticed that, was it Molumby who was booked later on?

I thought that if an advantage is played, that the ref can/should go back to book the player who dragged back the opposition man who was bursting through.
