Moving away from our defenders and back to the strikers, Bruce says he cant drop Wellbeck, I agree with that, so he starts on Saturday. He hints it will be with Bent but following his logic, he must start all 3.

He says Wellbeck is undropable follwing his last two games, wont argue with that, but.

Gyan must be undropable following his last two games, goals scored and performance so he must play, but.

Bent must be undropable following his goal scoring record for us so he must play.

Or am I missing something?

Must be some mistake, everyone on here reckons Welbeck should be the one to be dropped.

Too much time on your hands this time Cyprus.

Only Welbeck has played enough recently to be dropable ;)

Its Bruce who says he is undropable on the SAFC site, he plays Saturday and I would play him but I would play all 3.

bit of as waste to put any of them on the wing, if that's what your suggesting.

Otherwisde having a wingless wonders 4,3,3 which would become a horrible long ball nightmare...

I'm suggesting that we play Bent up front with Gyan just behind and yes, Wellbeck on the left. Wellbeck and Gyan could rotate giving us 3 strikers and giving Bent space.

Gordon

Onuoha -- Mensah -- Da Silva -- Richardson

Cattermole

Elmohamady -------------- Zenden

Welbeck

Gyan---------------------Bent

Possibly?

Henderson needs a rest so I would put him on the bench.

That'll probably happen, which is a shame, because he's played well up top. It's a good problem to have though.

A less good problem is who we'll replace him (and nedum) with in the summer...

Welbeck behind the front two - absolutely!! He flicks on loads of headers, can keep the ball and move it on.

Spot on... It's worth a shot...

Things move slow at Sunderland though... Look how long it took us to stop playing 4-5-1...

Bent & Welbeck to start, Gyan on the bench.

thats what im thinking

theres no point playing all three for the sake of it when we have no one on the bench. we should play two up then have one on the bench to come on as a sub when the opposition tires a bit. could be quite effective over the coming weeks
