If youre a corrupt organisation you dont want that paraded in front of the world. FIFA know how to deal with such things - say nowt and let it pass.

football has too much money and power attached to it not to be corrupt.

agreed. yet people still back them and continue to watch their channels and websites. they wont learn til people switch off. fuck them. *****

What difference would that make? They don't have advertising slots to sell and they aren't a commercial enterprise -we have to hand our money over to them by law so they don't care how many are watching.

The BBC has long out-lived it's purpose. This whole episode demonstrates once and for all that the BBC DOES NOT act in the national interest and as long as it doesn't, I see no reason why the people of this country should be legally obliged to fund it.

It's a disgrace and they have a lot to answer for.

Exactly, boycoutt the BBC

It's not the BBC's fault that people are corrupt.:lol::lol:

No, it's not.

But why show a program about FIFA corruption days before a decision?

Wait until after the decision and they'd illustrate the corruption clearly.

I feel that your views have been shaped by the Murdock controlled media, who are pissed off with the beeb as they are the one corporation large enough to stop them completely dominating the media market.

Newscorp control an inordinate amount of our broadcasting and news networks... They are also the BBC's biggest detractors. Suddenly a lot of people turn on the BBC, who for all of their faults basically give us news and not hyperbole, rumour and inuendo - the sort of stuff that sells but isn't quite true.

Shame like, but hopefully it will mean the BBC keeps quite high standards...

Who says that the outcome of the bid has anything to do with corruption? The Panorama programme aired the other day was a complete damp squib. Even if it was significant evidence of corruption, which it WASN'T, the BBC could have easily aired it in two weeks time. They didn't - they chose to air it the night before the vote and that was an absolute disgrace.

If rumours are to be believed we were the first bid eliminated, despite having the strongest bid on most fronts. You can't possibly tell me that the controversy caused by the BBC's brain-fart didn't have a huge impact.
