We were there last week and thought it was canny. Weather was amazing and we happened on a massive soul festival so the place was heaving. Quite enjoyed Dreamland, and the had the best ice cream in a shop in the Old Town. I’d go again.
Ramsgate on the other hand...
Was in Scarborough at the weekend, depressing. Hotels appear to be in a race to the bottom
Certainly looks that way, read the reviews from The Grand, bloody awfulI haven't been for years but I've heard it's declined economically. It has the lowest mean pay for any place in the country apparently.
We stayed there before Liverpool 90/91. It was creepy.New Brighton takes some beating, the seaside equivalent of Royston Vasey.
Silloth=Shithole.
booked a caravan there years back.
never been anywhere like it.
Margate is like a scene from Walking Dead.
Rhyl is the biggest shithole I’ve ever been too
Glad I'm not alone. Lot of people seem to love it, I just found it a bit depressing.
48 years ago I lived in Amble,you couldn't see for coal dust then.Amble. Couldn't see a thing through the clouds of flies.
The winner. Anyone who has been there would agree.Not a town but I reckon Dungeness might be the weirdest seaside place in the country

I take back my comments then - I must have went on two particularly shocking daysLlandudno is nice for a U.K. seaside town.
The tram to the great orme is very pleasant.
