Weasel Handcock Blaming Patients For Care Home Deaths

Are you saying that people who don’t need to be in hospital should be kept there blocking Beds just because they haven’t been tested?

even if they are infected if they are not ill enough to need hospitalisation what do you do with them?
Have certain homes clear for untested patients is the answer to that. It's not rocket science and could easily be sorted out.
It was clear to me back in February as stated on here this shower of evil twats did not give a rats behind about care homes.

Lad alive!

Come on man, you must understand the difference between care homes and hospitals and the level of care they provide.

They were building Nightingale Hospitals from March which were well resourced but few patients.
Ideal solution to caring for infected care home residents.

They knew exactly what they were doing in my opinion.

Where is he blaming them by saying that? It sounds like he's admitting they didn't know people who were asymptomatic could spread the virus to me. The government have undoubtedly made fuck ups, but we can't accuse them of twisting things then do it ourselves.
Every day the same suspects wheel out a new anti Tory story it’s as if some still can’t get over the non election of Jeremy who would of course have saved us all from this !!

Only if we elect shit politicians
Never trust anyone who chooses politics as a career, regardless of which party they align to.
could easily be sorted out.
Could it though?

Which homes do you designate as Covid-free zones and which do you consign to be the new 'leper colonies'? Would people be happy knowing they were going to one of these new Covid homes?

Think also of the disruption and distress to those in both designated types of homes being told they have to move - many of whom would not understand why? Some homes will have been picked by families for their proximity to where they live and ease of access for visiting etc.

Would you move the staff as well? Again, travel and ease of access would have to be taken into consideration. Would more specialist staff be needed in the Covid homes? And if not, would the existing staff be willing to work there?

I'm not disagreeing that something more should have been done, and I can't see why the Nightingale hospitals weren't utilised in some way or another, but I also don't think it's as 'easily' sorted out as you're implying. Things aren't as black and white as that in real life.

There's a lot more to take into consideration than just saying 'he goes to A, she goes to B'.

In my opinion, anyway.

They could have been checked before leaving hospital.
I believe that is black and white.

True, but that's only one small part of what you're suggesting.

You'd still then have the decision about where to send them and who would be working there? And would the families be happy if none of them had cars and were told Grandma was going to a care home 50 miles away rather than the nice local one they'd picked out for her etc.

I just think it's not as cut and dried as you're making out, that's all.
