Took until the 46th game to top the division in our last champ winning season

Just saying

If we win all our games in hand we'd have the same points total as Luton.

The reason why Luton are top is our poor run of form and here lies the problem.

Mostly our results against the teams around us have been ok, it's the daft home draws to supposedly weaker teams that's stopping us being in charge. Big few weeks coming up in that respect.

But no need to panic, if Luton and Pompey draw on Tuesday the top of the table position is in our hands, we're in with as much of a chance as anyone.

I was hopeful the wheels might come off when the manager left, but Harford has kept them motoring along so far.

Just got to get back to winning ways, plenty opportunity to get into the top two yet.

Too many draws which we all know. Lots of winnable games coming up. Keep the faith

We really need to start putting a string of wins together sharpish to put the season back on track. Yes we have games in hand but the way we are throwing games away from winning positions to only drawing is a little worrying.

We still have a goal in us every game, but it seems we are needing 2 to take a win as we invariably let teams come into us when we should be taking the game by the scruff of the neck as we seem unable to ride out with a 1 goal lead.
This. Whenever we take a lead I’m never sure we’ll increase it or hold on to it. I’m hoping we can pull summat out of the bag this January cos we’re not quite good enough for an automatic spot. Dunne looks a good start though.

Some absolute f***ing thickos on this thread

If we win both our games in hand on them aye we go level on points with Luton but likely behind on goal difference.

We only have one in hand on Pomp and Barnsley and if they win theirs also, Pomp go top, Luton 2nd, us 3rd and Barnsley 1pt behind us in 4th.

This illustrates how tight the table is and how crucial winning our games in hand is. Our job has been made harder by the strong form of teams that were below us.

Is that bedwetting? No.
Is it "negative"? No.
Is it a reality check? Yes.

Now all you bitching about this thread as if it's some sort of meltdown can absolutely fuck right off.

Form table is more of a concern. 3 of the 4 teams above us are in better form.
Aye it's strange how this happens happens quite a lot, teams above other teams have had better results,it's a real mystery

Not too worried yet. If we don't win the games in hand, then I'll start worrying.

Good post. We don't need to go OTT but with our form and the transfer situation, concerns are understandable.
